I had been using M-audio monitors for about 8 years and I finally decided it was time to upgrade. I researched a few, but I really liked the idea that KRK had provided the opportunity to adjust the EQ to fit the room of the monitors. Some other brands had not done that and it really mattered in my decision making. Of course there is also the sound. The clarity of the speakers is fantastic and the separation of the various frequencies so I can hear how all the sounds sit in the mix is more than I had hoped for. I also decided to splurge and test out the subwoofer so I could hear how my music would sound on a system with deep bass and I am glad I made that choice. The two monitors and the sub sound great together and really bring the music to life so I can get a good sense of how the consumers will hear the music.

My first speakers when I started DJing back in 2018 were some cheapo Samson speakers that were ok at the time, but when I upgraded to a set of Pioneer DM 40's, I was blown away by the sound difference. Well when I upgraded from the DM 40s to two KRK Rokit 5 G4's I was just as blown away as the first upgrade if not more. The bass is so clear coming from the KRKs and the highs sound perfect. I love that they have XLR inputs and the EQing you can do with the speakers is top notch. I have them dialed in perfectly for my setting when I practice Djing at home. I love that they go into a standby mode to conserve power if you leave them on but not in use for a bit. They look really good too. The subwoofer looks nice but I feel like I don't need it with how booming just the speakers themselves are. I could host a house party in our one bedroom apartment with just these speakers alone. I can't say enough how great they sound. If you purchase a pair you won't be disappointed I can promise you that. The fact that ZZsounds let's you pay for them in steps is pretty cool too. I bought mine from a brick and mortar "guitar" place, but I wish I'd gotten them from zZounds.
