"Korg Triton Le: An excellent stand-alone Music Workstation!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am satisfied, expect to remain satisfied for many years to come. I do plan to add a Korg Radias in the near future.
Sound
The Korg Triton Le has a wide variety of excellent expressive sounds. Yes, the sounds are compatible to my music style, Trance-Techno. I use the product with Ableton Live.
Features
The 16 track sequencer is the most valuable feature.
Ease of Use
Lower marks here, I previously owned an Ensoniq ESQ-1 and it was much easier to use. Even the seprately purchased DVD's did not completely explain things to my satisfaction.
Quality
Some say it is cheaply made. However, my was once knocked over from it's stand and continued to perform!
Value
It was a good purchase. No regrets.
Manufacturer Support
N/A No need.
The Wow Factor
I like just about everything about my "silver dream machine".

Features
the sequencer on the LE is the same as the Triton studio.
Value

I purchased this keyboard when it first came out. I have to say that I don't feel that there is a more powerful keyboard out there for the money. I am producer of R&B dance music, Blues, Classic soul, Gospel, Techno, Symphonic.... You name it, I can produce it on this keyboard. I have been to major studios in Hollywood working with major engineers with my little keyboard and hands down, they all bow down to this little powerful keyboard. Using the sequencer alows me to do all my dirty work at home and fly to the west coast with a nearly finished set of tracks ready to track in now minutes compared to the months it use to take tracking. It's still hard for me to believe the quality of the sampling. Clearly this keyboard will be with me for many years to come. (I need a newly created sound from presant artist, the way to go is to sample it) You'll see, this keyboard is the answer to your dreams. No matter how big they are.

"Loved it so much at the store I bought it on the spot!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I don't think I will need anything else for awhile! I might buy the add on sampler for it though.
Sound
The Triton LE sounds amazing! The built in combis and sounds almost play themselves! I use it almost exclusively to compose and record my new age music. The only other product I use with it is Cool Edit Professional V2.0 and that is just to mix down tracks with vocals etc. I have played many other keyboards and I just loved this one so much that I had to have it! I don't regret spending a single penny on it!
Features
The Triton LE has so many features that I don't think I will ever run out of things to do with it! The only problem comes in learning your way around the menus ans learning how to use some of the sequencer features. The only thing I am missing is the cd burner which could be built into it like the Triton.
Quality
It is very hearty. I don't think that I could damage it easily by carrying it around with me. The finish is excellent, durable metal finish. The keys could be a little stronger but I don't think you could break them very easily. The keys are a bit on the light side and lack the weighted feel of some of the other keyboards I have played.
Value
It ranks up there with the best! Even though it is meant to be a more affordable version of the Triton, it has some new sounds etc that the Triton doesn't have. The sounds are rich and beautiful, and it contains virtually every sound any genre of music could possibly need! It was well worth the money in comparison to other comparable keyboards!
Manufacturer Support
I never had to deal with Support as I have never had a problem!

"A very useful composition tool"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
It's a very useful composition tool. That is the highest praise I give.
Sound
Very high quality sounds except for pianos & drums. Too many Hip/Hop, Trance, Dance loops in the combi's for my music. But the sounds are first-rate.
Features
For the price - it can't be beat. No sampler, but heck. It's $999!
Quality
I would rate it a 10, except the keys aren't that great.
Value
It's the best workstation value on the market.
Manufacturer Support
Korg has always had inaccessible support. If you manage to reach them, they are good.
The Wow Factor
For $999- nothing touches it.

I will keep this keyboard but I will probably buy something else with sounds more suited to the type of music I am interested in.
Sound
Some sounds are better than others. This keyboard is nice to have if you are interested in making techno or trance but it you want to do hip hop or r&b then try something else. The sounds are not made for rap and the few sounds that you could use are not worth buying this keyboard if hip hop or r&b is your thing.
Features
I wish you could use the preset sounds with the effects when recording without having to go through several screens to get them to sound how they sound when you play them when your not recording(the presets go dry and flat when you start recording).

"A pretty decent synth"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
It's a good sounding synth with lots of versitility for the price.
Sound
Great, clear sound.
Features
Tons of really good presets.
Quality
The casing is built ok, but the action is really lagging. The keys just feel cheap.
Value
It's a good value for someone who dosen't need an all-in-one box to do everything for them.
The Wow Factor
It's decent looking.

"The TritonLE is a great synth, I used it for a month and I'm selling it. Find out why."

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'm already putting this synth on ads (hahaha!) I love the sounds, the look, everything which lasted only 1 month. Now, I'm selling it. My next would be either Motif 8 or Roland XV88, has to be either one of this. Korg Triton Studio 88key is too expensive. Motif and XV88 are Studio's perfect match. So, yes, I'm selling it, hope to get rid of it very very very soon. I can't stand playing it anymore, can't stand listen to it anymore, got sick of it, just within 1 MONTH! ;-p
Sound
There are loads of sounds, I don't think I'd even finish using all the sounds, 500+ sounds I guess. Unfortunately, the basic sounds are thin, close to horrible. The piano sounds especially. I've heard Motif flute sounds, Motif dist. guitar sounds, violins, they are great, but, this LE is no where near. The sounds are not that bad, but less realistic and lack expressions. In general, the sounds are acceptable, it doesn't sound like those cheap Casio or Yamaha home portatone, of course not. I'm making comparison to high end synths like the Motif, XV88, etc.
Features
I bought it without accessories (pedal, stand). I already have 3 other synths at home, so, I can just reuse my Roland pedal and standard stand. Features? The sequencer is easy to use. There are short cuts to navigate through.
Quality
I think, the build is reasonable. Mine is the 76-key board. If it was heavier, I won't enjoy carrying it around. The quality of the body is good. However, the LCD display screen is rather soft, I wonder what will happen if something hard and sharp touch it. The buttons are too noisy when pressed, they give loud 'tick' sounds when pressed. I like to play at night, and sometimes, I woke my wife up for pressing the buttons too hard or too many times. But the buttons look tough. This product is more suitable for studio or home use, but, still can be used in gigs. My Yamaha SY77 is tough, I sprained my wrist while carry it and took 3 months to recover from the sprain.
Value
You get what you pay. That's it. Don't expect to have something like Triton Studio or Pro. I call LE a half-baked triton studio. The sounds are not as good as Studio, but, still reasonably good. I love it (i mean the price) I paid Singapore Dollar $2,200 in total (with padded bag)
Manufacturer Support
The salespersons many times invite me to come over so that I can get some tips from him. So far, I don't need any repair, I've no complain so far. Everything is good.
The Wow Factor
Not really. I love the look of 88-keys like the Roland XV88 or any good looking 88-keys synth with solid build bodies, solid keys (not just empty plastics). The color is alright, I love the screen color, its bright, but should be bigger.

"A HAVE TO HAVE FOR HIP HOP PRODUCERS"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Overall, when you mention keyboards, this keyboard has too be mentioned with one of the top keyboards, you cannot not count out the Triton LE, yeah it don't have as many sounds as its big brothers, but for the price this is a keyboard that you can't and will not beat, just take other keyboards around the same price and a comparison just cannot be made, know what i'm talkin bout.
Sound
The Sound qaulity is really nice, i'm a entry level user and it really sounds nice too me
Features
The Features are pretty good, it could use a lil more sound but hey, a big tyme synth for under a G, you really can't ask for too much more, the step sequencer is nice and I also like the quantizing feature.
Quality
The qaulity is unmatched, I would really recommend this if you are trying too buy a key board....
Value
It is a wise investment, considering all of the features that are on this keyboard, if you have a g just too blow, this will be a wise investment....
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had too use it

"NOT GOOD ENOUGH BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD !"

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Not good enough Korg, learn from from this review, or contact me when you're ready to make a decent board. I'll give you some real tips ! Alternatively, look at the Yamaha Motif, a little more expensive but nice ! ! ! I must say, I thinks it's time to look for new product developers ! Until then, good luck with Triton le.
Sound
I Auditioned this board 3 times now... Everyone is raving about korg, so ok, had to go check it out ! THE GOOD: very good electronic /dance and some good filmscoring type sounds. great when you get the arpeggiator running with some of the sounds. also some good strings and pads. THE BAD: Some of the worse natural sounding instruments I've heard in a long time. Terrible pianos, mediocre brass & organ sounds. go listen ! very disappointing ! Motif sounds much better ! I don't care what board it is, at that price range, it should at least have a good sounding piano, and few good natural sounding instruments without having to spend another $200.00 on a sampling add-on board. Give me a break Korg !
Features
Did not use too many of it's features, but I liked the arpeggiator, and the fact that it has a built-in sequencer. Assignable knobs were ok, but would prefer individual knobs even if it means price of board goes up. Hate this joystick stuff, much prefer individual mod. and pitch-bend wheel, I don't know why korg is so attached to their joystick ! it's on almost every board they make !
Quality
NOW FOR THE UGLY: CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP ! looks cheap, overall design doesn't look that good, keyboard action feels like a toy ! Again take a look at Motif ( nice keyboard action and design, good solid build )
Value
Overpriced toy ! must look better, have better keyboard action, and better sounds for me to buy !
Manufacturer Support
Korg tends to have very good support, I owned a Korg before, and their web site always has all the latest OS updates, and my experience with customer support has been good in the past.
The Wow Factor
Not good enough for me to buy. too many things bother me about it.
