I was 12 pay all the way....I mean after all this board is 4g's. Thanks to ZZ they set me up on the plan.... Kronos X is beyond any keyboard ever made....The content alone will keep you satisfied and busy for years to come. Especially if you like to program Synth's. Features: 2000+ sounds, over 180 effects types, 9 sound engines +Karma and Wave Sequencing. Sampling from optical or analog inputs, and one heck of a Audio/Midi Sequencer. Quality: Korg hits the mark for sure with this instrument. Sound: Impeccable! Ease of Use: 8" Color Touch Screen and nothing can permanently change your programs, combi's or setlists, or global settings unless you intentionally write to them. Value: Once you have in your hands you wont even question it. Manufacturer Support: Korg reps on the phone are not there to shoot the breeze, they like to get to the point. Which is understandable yet maybe a little cold.....lol Wow Factor: Lets just say, on delivery day. I stood outside for nearly 2 hours waiting for FedEx in NewYork, during the cold of Hercules and it was worth every min.

"The ULTIMATE workstation"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Firstly, I feel like I need to comment on Beverly O's review. She said that the Yamaha had better piano sounds. I suppose this is subjective, but I have found the Kronos pianos to be the best I've ever heard from a synth, and many reviews would agree with me. Beverly O is certainly in the minority there. Also, she said that it takes 5 mins to warm up. This is a gross exaggeration, it takes 2mins. The reason for boot up time is the due to the very high quality of the sample set. The piano is 4gb by itself, far higher than the Yamaha's. I've owned several workstations, and this is easily the best I've ever owned. 9 synth engines....amazing. If you spend some time looking through forums, you'll find plenty of people who have sold theie MOX8 to but a Kronos, but not the other way 'round.

"An update to Kronos"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Personally tried and tested with Kronos liking it. Kronos X is the same thing with more memory and SSD capacity. So for anyone looking at the reviews of Kronos X it should be understood that it's tweaked Kronos, not whole new Kronos. Owner of Kronos who feels is at it's capacity can buy an upgrade kit for Kronos and there you go; Kronos X.

Musical Background:

Played several instruments over more than twenty years.

"Disappointed"

My brother bought a Kronos, and loves its workstation capabilities, and portability. I bought a Yamaha MoX8 for half the money, as many features, ease of use, BETTER piano sounds, and way better hammer action. This Korg is more portable BUT takes 5 minutes to warm up. Yamaha is ready right away!

Musical Background:

I'm from a family of professional musicians & recording artist. I have played all of my life, and am an educator.
