I have been mixing on my Mackie MR5 mk2 for over 5 years now and I have been having problems with monitoring my lows. I spent a lot of time on the internet looking for a 12 inch sub that is reasonably priced but all the ones I could find were way beyond my budget. I watched a review by Warren Huart on the Kali WS-12 and I knew that I had to grab one. I bought one, hooked it up with my MR5 at 80hz crossover point and my oh my, It sounded amazing! I am hearing deep lows like never before. I like the build quality and the dip switches are very easy to use. Thanks to the boys at Kali Audio, now my mixes sounds much better.

From day one this has been the noisiest piece of equipment I've ever purchased. When you run signal through it to external monitors, it increases the white noise 10-fold. When turning on the sub, it will randomly spit out ear piercing digital distortion until you turn it off and back on again a few times. I've since stopped running my monitors through the sub's crossover because of the white noise, but the digital distortion continues - it's just harder to tell it's happening until the sub makes random thumps/pops. No combination of dipswitch (which, just wow...could they try any harder to reduce costs) settings will fix any of the noise issues.I don't know if I got a lemon or if other people are deaf, but this is Gemini level quality for significantly more money.
