Cool guitar for the price, but be ready to put some work into it. Not sure what happened to QC part but It arrived with dead fret at the 11th on the high E-String. I was able to put my fingernail under the 12th fret so had to to gently hammer the fret into its final installed position. The action was terrible and had to do a full setup to get the guitar to a playable level and needed to polish the frets as they were rough. Also some items such as cords were missing but zZounds was awesome and got me all of the missing items. They were wonderful. With all of that being said it is actually a good instrument. The MIDI pickup when set to the correct level and sensitivity through the Jamstik software is quite good and I do not have problems with multiple triggers. I use the Jamstik as a MIDI controller in Studio One with the KORG Triton plugin and it sounds great. I can get great sounds and can still play at decent speed with the midi electronics doing a good job. This guitar also works well as a full sized travel guitar and is portable and comfortable to play. Lastly, I did change out the pickups to match my style of music. Wasn't a fan of the stock humbuckers, but for most people and styles of music I think they are decent and would work well. I did use this guitar at band practice to see if it could be used in a live situation as an electric guitar and it sounded and played well. Again a 100% functional and comfortable guitar. I do like the Jamstik better than other MIDI controllers such as the You-Rock controller because my interaction as a guitarist is the same as playing a guitar. This plays and feels like a real guitar just hope they address their quality control issues. I recommend this guitar for anyone wanting to produce MIDI music who is a guitarist and not a keyboard player.
