I have always avoided JHS pedals for, reasons, but upon searching for an affordable ambient style reverb for my synth, and guitar, I stumbled upon this little gem and snagged it up. All I can say is, wow! What a fantastic quality reverb. This is coming from someone who has tried every reverb on the market practically, reverb is by far my favorite type of effect and I am a guitar pedalboard snob. I have used the Neunaber Immerse 2, Blue Sky 1 and 2, Free the tone ambient reverb, etc...and this simple Hall reverb pedal actually stands amongst them as one of the best sounding verbs ever. Also, the decay on this baby is super long when turned all the way up, I mean it goes on forever (not literally). Way longer decay potential than the Blue Sky even, probably about the same as a maxed out IMMERSE pedal though, which is very very long. Perfect for my needs, and quite affordable when compared to other fancy reverbs.
Sound
The sound quality is superb. I use it with guitar and synths and it is amazing across the board. There is no discernible artifacts or digital sounds to it. The algorithm sounds rich and natural. Unbelievable for this price point actually, and I am not a JHS fan at all quite honestly.
Features
I have no idea about the components, but it sounds amazing. And it has a modulation switch for added swirly-ness.
Ease of Use
This is literally the simplest pedal in the world to use. No non-sense controls, easy to use parameters and setup.
Quality
Seems to be made very well, like a metal tank. Should last forever hopefully.
Value
Great value for the price point, considering other comparable reverbs are 2-4+ times the price.
Manufacturer Support
I do not like JHS for multiple reasons, however, they really nailed this one. I love this reverb pedal.
The Wow Factor
This is simply a hall reverb. It can be used for short or long decay, but it is what it is. I can't live without reverb, and this hits the nail on the head.
