This is the sub every musician, sound engineer, DJ dreams of! It’s UNDER 100lbs!? Its loud, crisp, clear bass is beyond my expectations. The ONLY cons I could come up with is I do wish it were a standard pole mount for the mains instead of the newer M-20 mounting system. Because the JBL EON connect apps are not very good, which is suppose to allow you to digitally EQ your EON compatible speakers, I do wish there simple high/low adjustment knobs but as I mentioned it was crisp and clear out of the box.The BIGGEST CON? This sucker is a large sub despite its lightweight! However, it does actually fit in the interior of my Ford F-150 which I was super worried about upon receiving this. If you were worried if this sub could handle this or that.. it can handle any venue. Definitely. It is a super professional grade sub at an affordable price. Excellent job JBL!
Sound
The sound is crisp and clear right out of the box.
Features
It’s extremely simplistic. However if you wish to go into advance features, there is a JBL EON connect APP for your phone that allows you to EQ your EON speakers. Unfortunately, it is not a very reliable app at this time. It has horrible reviews.
Ease of Use
I was super impressed with how easy the sub was to connect itself. It produced the clear push I was searching for without any adjustments.
Quality
So far it seems sturdy. It’s very large. The buttons on the back (EQ+) I noticed it looked weak upon first setup. Not enough to send it back to the manufacturer but enough to address it. It could go out before the rest of the sub does. Which I hope is not any time soon LOL.
Value
The price point I think is super affordable. A high quality grade sub, lightweight for a sub, UNDER $1,000? Yeah! It speaks for itself.
Manufacturer Support
I have had no problems with JBL in the past or current present. They are a professional company. When inquiring about the product (it’s so popular that they sell out so quick) they were helpful in telling me exactly when to expect more soon!
The Wow Factor
The speaker definitely looks clean. Professional. It is just large.

I use 2 of these with the matching 612 tops and have been completely impressed. They have been used for live sound and DJ music and karaoke..and everyone always compliments on the sound quality. Was very impressed with the live music sound and volume. They handled a 30' x 60' room perfectly..and a wedding in a venue that is 60' x 100' with 20' ceilings and did an amazing job. The blue tooth app is my complaint. It seems a bit buggy. But I don't use it that often kinda set and forget.

Have this setup along with two eon 610's for rehearsal purposes. Sounds great. It's loud if you need it to be. Our room is 20X20, we run vocals, keyboards and bass through it and this fills the space at about a 1/4 to 1/2 way up on volume. We play pretty loud and it works. If you are using for a large venue or outdoors, may want to e pore getting two or upgrading. Features are rated low, because it's a sub - it puts out bass - nothing fancy. Haven't encountered the need for manufacturer support yet.

Used it only 3 times and blew board. Part no longer available so you have to buy entire amp assembly. I don't over work my subs. Just use for a little extra bass. Jbl won't honor warranty cause I bought blemished from zZounds. Cost of new amp after shipping is around 400.00. zZounds won't help me in anyway. Sucks big time!!!
