The ONLY regret I have...and it's a small one...is I didn't know about the EON 515XT's which are 650 watts instead of the 450 watts of the EON 515's. But, I am very happy I got these and will continue to use them for a long while!
Sound
I also own a pair of Peavey PR15's that I was running with a Crown XTI amp and I thought those guys were pretty ballsy...until I fired up the EON's! They have a lot of low end punch and crisp mids and highs. Also the rubberised cabinets and cabinet geometery defeat any standing waves that I use to have trouble with in close quarters with other cabinets. I've did DJ work, Karaoke, small bands, and comedy shows with these guys and always get people that come up and tell me how great they sound!
Features
The EON515's are pretty much ready to go out of the box. There is a dual TRS/XLR input which is nice and a RECESSED mic/line switch to match your input level. There is an EQ level switch that will allow you to set the speaker flat or use the 3 band trim/boost knobs to tweak the output. The recessed switches threw me at first ( I thought they were missing :))but I now know this is a huge benefit cuz you can't accidently hit the switch and dump a hot input feed into a overload condition. There are also 2 other TRS inputs and the ability to mix all three inputs and send them outbound. They are also able to set horizontal for monitor use or vertical for pole mount or floor standing applications.
Ease of Use
Like I mentioned earlier..pretty much ready to rock out of the box. I'm old school and this is my first set of powered speakers so running AC power to these guys was a little different but easy enough to do.
Quality
Very lightweight but still lots of balls! The rubberised finish will come in handy to keep these from "walking" if I use them without stands. They are JBL, after all!
Value
I got a monster deal on these through the 4 payment plan at ZZounds.com!
Manufacturer Support
I did call JBL cuz I thought the 3 switches were "missing" at first. They were very cool and were easy to get a hold of. They tech dude explained that a lot of customers had mentioned the fact that the buttons were easy to bump and engage so they redesigned them. So, they do listen to their customers which is pretty awesome.
The Wow Factor
The illuminated JBL logo really gives it a great look, and you can turn it off if you need it.

Ease of Use
Could not possibly be easier.
Quality

Value
Absolutely! I'm gonna buy another pair for my son.

Sound
We put several EON 515 and EON 518 subs in two different rooms in our church building. They can really crank when EQed properly--we used a dbx Driverack PA. Even with crappy room acoustics (downright painful in one room) this system overcame and even excelled. Not enough power or coverage? Grab another 515 and set it up!!!
Features
The box is very rugged, and the amps have self-limiting protection so we run them almost wide open. No need to worry about over driving them. Some of my 515s are pole mounted, others flown by their anchor points.
Ease of Use
The rear input/output panel has just enough features to make it useful without being too complicated. With the amps sized to the speaker, you don't have to worry about this thing AT ALL.
Quality
We have these mounted indoors but we take them out quite a bit--so far so good.

I will keep it for now but if I get many more outdoor gigs I will need to consider speakers with higher output. If these got damaged or stolen I would buy something else.
Sound
The sound quality itself is pretty good but the output is very low. Not enough bass. I was disappointed with the performace outdoors. Might work well with sub-woofers.
Ease of Use
Easy to set up.
Quality
Good and sturdy.
Value
I could have gotten a cheaper brand with the same output/sound quality.
Manufacturer Support
I have not needed any support.

"This speaker is ROCKINNNNNNN!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Written by one of our gear experts!
I will keep this speaker as long as possible. It is simply great. I would definitely recommend this 515 for todays mobile Dj. Compared to other speakers in this price range it is on of the best I've heard. Jbl is a great company when it comes to making a great speaker.
Sound
The sound quality is pretty nice. It definitely has a nice sound. It is perfect for any mobile DJ. The speaker definitely handles the low ends very nicely.
Features
15 inch WOOFER! It came with the power supply. Very light weight. I think it is very well built. Once again JBL has delivered another amazing speaker.
Ease of Use
Super easy to use. Literally all you have to do is plug it in and play. That simple. It is also super easy to carry around. Very light speaker with a very large boom. I used this for a DJin gig but this would be perfect for other instruments as well considering its ease of use. Also its a powered speaker so you do not need an amp!!! That makes things even easier.
Quality
I think quality wise it is greatttttt. Very beautiful speaker. Very dependable. This product would be great for the road considering it is super light weight!
Value
This product is definitely worth the money.
Manufacturer Support
Didnt need any. Speaker is that simple. Seriouslllyyy!

Sound
I had my eye on the Mackie TH15A for a very long time until a buddy of mine bought the EON 515s. The first 10 seconds into the song I was blown away by the clarity and Crispiness of the sound. I'm not quote sure how so much power is packed into such lightweight speakers but I wouldn't settle for anything else.
Features
The only accessory is the power cord which was included.
Ease of Use
No brainer!!
Quality
This product is well crafted and easy to carry.
Value
A bit pricey at $699 a pop but then again; every great product will cost a bit more.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had a reason for support and by the way this speaker handles, I don't foresee any reason for support any time soon.
The Wow Factor
These speaker are sleek and looks good at gigs.

"No hum: just an excellent system"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
After hearing people say this was not loud enough, I decided to test it myself. Due to the building opening restrictions, we only got 15 minutes to set up a brand new EON 515 before a live show for a 800 seat church auditorium. The speakers were just EON 515. BINGO!!! We were holding our breath. Not anymore. The system sounded EXCELLENT. JBL EON 515 (a pair) was the only system. The mixer was Mackie. NO HUMMING NOISE AT ALL. We only had the system go up to half its capability" and that was enough. We are sold.
Features
Quiet and sounds so goood.
