I want to start off by saying the bass itself is beautiful. zZounds has been great as usual and has fully taken care of me. But...the quality control on this instrument is some of the worst I've ever experienced. The fret ends were so sharp that it was totally unplayable without dressing the ends and that's not something I would want to do on a brand new bass. They would literally cut your hand. The pickups were so close to the strings that they touched when playing. There was white tape stuck to the body just behind the bridge and it was covered in fingerprints and slightly dirty. All of these things are easily addressed but as I said, brand new bass. The thing that was not easily addressed was the missing side dot on the neck. There was a hole where one should be but no dot. I'm not sure how this passed QC at Fender/Jackson but here we are. zZounds immediately took care of me as they always do and a replacement is on it's way. They are great and give people access to equipment that would not have otherwise. It's an amazing thing and I am thankful.
