"No so "entry level" on looks, sound, and quality..."
Im satisfied with this guitar, but there are few things that i wish it had, atleast duncan designed pickups and straplocks.
Sound
Sound will take you back to the 80's thrash metal and death metal, also sounds good on Nu metal and metalcore.
sounds good on a cube 40 xl practice amp, and even better on a Marshall JCM2000 with Digitech Deathmetal pedal
Features
Master tone and master volume controls, 3 way blade selector, jackson cvr2 pickups, fixed string through body TOM bridge, thin and fast necks, shark tooth inlays, very sexy flat Rhoads style, comes with black, infero red and gun metal grey finishes, free gig bag,
Ease of Use
just plug and RAWK!... no more no less
Quality
Very sturdy strap buttons, very solid body, shiny glossy finish, solid hardware, tight non locking tuners, the gigbag is waterproof and durable. I believe, that everything and anything, with proper maitenance, will last for a long time.
Value
this guitar will bludgeon, slaughter and torture every guitar on its price range. It is like owning a mid level jackson eventhough its just an entry level guitar, i doesn't look and feel like one.
Manufacturer Support
i just had this guitar for 3 weeks, nothing is needed to be repaired, but if ever there is, im sure jackson will deal with there customer with excellence.

"A great little shredder, a great guitar overall."

I'm a Les Paul man, but I wanted a good metal guitar, and specifically a Rhoads V, as I play everything from Blues to Death Metal. I will keep this guitar forever, and if it were ever stolen, I would hunt down the s.o.b. that took it and beat him to a pulp. Or I'd buy a new one...
Sound
Obviously this guitar is made for shredding and the various styles of metal. And man, does it do it well. The bridge pickup screams leads and had a solid rhythm sound too. Power cords shake the house. The neck pickup sound is similar, but is noticeably more bass heavy. While some have complained that the neck pickup is muddy sounding, I suspect that their issues may be their amps and/or effect pedals. Mine sounds great in either setting through my Blackheart 100W. Also, when I rolled off the volume and tone a little bit, I played a beautifully bluesy and soulful "Key to the Highway" lead. This baby is NOT just a metal machine.
Features
It has everything you need. Jackson's pickups are surprisingly great sounding, and their necks super fast. I only gave it an 8 because it only has 1 volume and 1 tone knob, but this is a minor inconvenience at most. There is also a similarly priced model available with a Floyd Rose tremolo system.
Ease of Use
Plug in and shred...
Quality
I took a chance here by purchasing a "Blemished" item from Zzounds. Well, it payed off. I saved almost $100, and when I took it out of the box, I spent almost a half hour combing over this thing and for the life of me, I couldnt find a single scratch, mark or "blemish" of any kind. Beautiful!
Value
A Jackson Randy Rhoads with super fast neck and shark fin inlay for $269? But that deal fell in my lap. I was planning on paying full price for a brand new one as the "Blemished" wasn't available when I first looked. But even at $350, I would've gladly payed it. Its nicer than any of the "V" style guitars in its approximate price range.

The Wow Factor
I know that these type of guitars aren't for everyone, as even for me they are an acquired taste. But if you like these odd shaped metal guitars, then I don't think there is a sexier choice than the metallic Inferno Red Rhoads V. I just wish the man himself could've seen how great his babies look in red. I just can't stop staring a it...

Overall this is a great guitar...well made, very comfortable neck, the pickups were to "dark" for me...I replaced them with some Golden Age Over Wounds and really get the sound I am looking for...classic rock etc...well worth what I paid...I have played out with this and found it a fun guitar..held its tuning...own a number of guitars Gibson, Fender ESP, Dean and now a Jackson...play through a Fender FM100 w/matching cab...use a Digitech RP500...nice classic black finish...action not bad, not a Les Paul, but the jumbo frets make stretching easy...gig bag it came with is real nice, much nicer than the inexpensive gator bags I currently own..
