"Buy this product!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I'll be satisfied with this until they come out with the next version or somebody like EastWest outdoes them. This thing coupled with my IR-1 is effing killer. Yeah, I'll be using this for a while.
Sound
Blown away. This things really makes you realize just how sucky and artificial sounding the rest of your string modules really were. And man, do I have a lot to choose from!
Features
I could probably tweak this baby to fit any need I'd have for it.
Ease of Use
Really? No question. This is super easy to use.
Quality
You won't find a string module better than this right now. If you want something better, hire players. Serious.
Value
You either pay the union rates every time you need players or you pay this small (IMO for what you get) one time fee. You're choice. 10...out of 10.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't used it yet.
The Wow Factor
It looks official. I liken it to the look of the Waves line of plugs, or Auto-Tune. When you think of quality plugins for this or that need, certain ones comes to mind, images and all. This plug commands that through it's look, feel, and functionality.

"Good Sounds"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

It is very orderly and formal, the sounds are a big step up. I had trouble with IK SampleTank, finding a decent piano out of around 40, when it looked hopeless opened Miroslav and found 5 great sounding Seinways. The other samples in Miroslav are good for beating around with like any other software instrument, not composing some big score. In short, I like Miroslav better than SampleTank.

"In comparison with GPO and East West Silver, I think Miroslav wins hands down..."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
For the price range you can't beat the quality..these orchestral sounds are very smooth and silky, great for build ups and sustaining sounds...IMO, East West Silver sounds sharper than this, and not as high quality...
Features
There are enough features to keep most of us happy...serious tweakers I can't speak for...the octave switch is nice, as well as the included reverb, which is very high quality...
Ease of Use
Definitely IK's biggest selling point...while not as advanced as other samplers (Kontakt, Halion, Giga), IK's whole product like (Sampletank, Sonik Synth and Miroslav) is just EASY to use...and that's worth alot in my book...
Quality
Again, for the price range, you can't beat the quality...
Value
Remember, it is a bit on the high end...the best deal would be for current IK product owners to crossgrade...
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed...
The Wow Factor
A smooth orchestra with great instruments, choirs, a classical guitar, and nice effects - can't beat it...

"Complete Orchestra package with above-average sounds, nice effects and easy to use - but expensive!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Pretty damn good orchestra sounds... I like the strings and even some of the horns...
Features
Typical IK features - very useful and easy to work with.
Quality
Most affordable way to get a complete orchestra's sounds. Although I have yet to figure out how to give the sounds power (a dramatic, heavy feel), I can definately see the potential.
Value
Definately an expensive product, and I'm not sure if this sounds better than competing orchestras...
Manufacturer Support
Haven't used.
