It’s a simple controller. But the way the keys feel are second to none. I have boards that I’ve paid over $2k for that don’t have the feel that this one does. I use Logic Pro X. Setting up was simple. Had to update the firmware on the board before it would function correctly. But it was still ready to go after about 10 mins. I love it. I plan to order the 88 key next. You get a lot for what you pay.

I was in the market for a midi keyboard and after doing some research I went with the Icon 6x because it seemed to have good reviews and it had a DAW control attached to it which was a bonus. For just under $200 it wasn't bad at all. The construction is pretty sturdy, the keys however feel a bit cheap and very plastic. It does have a good feel when I play it though. But, now fast forward 4 months and a week after I purchased it, 4 of the keys stopped functioning. I was playing piano when I noticed some keys stopped making noise. At first I thought it was my DAW or plug-in but I used multiple DAW's and plugins and I had the same issue. Those keys just stopped working. Now I'm afraid that the rest of the keys will soon stop working. In that case I purchased an expensive paperweight.

First of all, it doesn’t work with OS Mojave...second of all, it’s about as intuitive to use as a robotic surgery machine. The manual if you can call it that, is like an ikea assembly guide. Useless. I had this thing plugged in with both usb then midi cables, and the keyboard would not sound a note, however, the buttons sure did. Notes that would not release. Ever. Pressing the channel button sounded a low D that never ended. I’ve never purchased a controller that didn’t work straight out of the box to at least trigger from the keyboard without any problem until this piece of junk. Sure, it looks good, seems well built, but if it doesn’t work at the most simple of levels without having to hook it up to a computer, download and install drivers and an editor, what’s the use? Do not buy this, especially if you are a Mac user. Be warned.,
