Recently purchased with a Gibson Lzzy Hale Explorer and a Laney Tony Iommi 15W practice amp. I love the organic sound of the distortion, that lets the guitar and amp define the tone. I had previously dismissed these overdrive pedals as "too weak", but there is plenty of distortion here, without the synthetic sound most "Metal" pedals create.

This is your straight forward tube screamer. It does exactly what is meant to do. Scream!!!!!!!! I use this pedal as my booster to bump me above the band volumne and raise my mids for solos or great leads/ melodies. At first (total beginner move) I had it in my effect chain before all my overdrives and fuzz and that was a huge mistake. Word of advice, put the screamer after all your overdrives, distortion and fuzzs if you are planning on using it as a booster. GREAT PEDAL!
