"GREAT GUITAR, WORTH EVERY CENT!!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
A completely well-worth-your-money guitar that can do anything from country, to blues, to indie rock (thats me)....and it doesn't cost two feet and a nose....its only $200....jeepers creepers, go out and buy one if you have the money!!!!
Sound
the clean sound is really nice, punchy at times and bright at other times with the flick of a switch. the pickups are a little weak when i use the distortion on my amp, but if i run it through a stomp box, then it sounds GREAT!
Features
I love the action on it. nice and low over a rosewood fretboard, mm..mm..good. I also like the colors, i have a sparkly silver one, not really my style, but it still looks pretty sweet under the lights.
Quality
I had one problem with the jack. I bought the guitar used, so i don't really know how the guy before me handled it, but on of the wires connected to the jack came lose, so i just sodered it back together, no biggie....other than that, i would say ibanez has done an excellent job with this one.
Value
Like i said before, semi-hollowbody for $200 that plays and sounds just as good as models twice the price (**cough, cough**...epiphone dot) its an incredibly good deal, and i'd even call it a steal.
Manufacturer Support
i haven't needed to call ibanez at all
The Wow Factor
i love the design of this guitar too. i've always been a suck for single cut-aways, and i think the rest of the body of the guitar is so unique that it has its own style. i love all of the artcore model's that ibanez puts out, and i'm looking to buy at least one other model sometime in the near future

"Its a"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Overall you can't go wrong buying one of these. This model seems to be getting hard to get (as of 4/04). It isn't on the Ibanez website and I suspect they're not building it any more and sticking with more "conventional" designs. Get one now while you can - they'll probably become a cult classic as the years go by!
Sound
The two humbuckers give you a good range of tones. Run it thru a DigiTech RP50 (or higher) processor and you're suddenly a tower o' power. Dogs in the next county will howl and your neighbors will call the cops! Anyway, the sound is fine for a guitar in this price range!
Features
The TM71 is set up like a Les Paul with the volume and tone knobs in the same places except that the toggle switch is in a better place on the Ibanez! Everything's there that needs to be.
Quality
You can see that it was well made. The overall fit and finish is very good but the edge of the frets feel a little rough when you're sliding a barre chord up or down several half-steps - like they're a little high or not bevelled enough on the edges or something. Still, this isn't a complaint really, just an observation. The tuners are generic Grover copies, work OK...Once again, we're talking about a $300 guitar - not a $3000 guitar! For the money you can't beat it!
Value
This guitar is a good value in the $200 to $300 range. I've seen one other that's a bit better but its a "no name" and I won't go into that here...
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed any service from Ibanez but a friend of mine had a small problem with a guitar and was given a new guitar rather than being required to send hers out for warranty repairs. That incident helped me decide to spend some money on an Ibanez.
The Wow Factor
I think its an interesting design with the single f-hole and asymetrical semi-hollow body. The paint is very good and the hardware is decent too. I like it because its slightly different than the run-of-the-mill electric guitars these days.

"A GREAT mediocre guitar!!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
A very versatile guitar. I'm actually a metal-head, but this guitar allows me versatility that I haven't been able to achieve with other guitars. Good sustain...GREAT feedback.
Features
Solid construction. I don't always feel as though I get as much control out of the volume knobs as I'd like, but that's what a volume pedal is for.
Quality
Over all...solid. My only real complaint is that it REALLY reacts to air pressure and humidity. When traveling, give yourself time to readjust it.
Value
Really... You get a lot out of this guitar for a fair price. Especially if you haggle with the dealer a little.
Manufacturer Support
Ibanez puts out decent guitars for reasonable prices
The Wow Factor
Personally, I think it's a hot looking guitar. I have one in blue, and it really stand out on the stage (more so when your band is playing tool/metallica/or other rock-metal stuff).

"Simply the best"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
It is nice peace form Ibanez Artcore serie guitars, it is not really 355 but she give you a lot of fun, if there lost or stolen it can`t be possible to buy sem new model, but I buy something other from Artcore serie for shure (posibllly AS 73 or AM 73)
Sound
It is very bright and clear, both pickup are very decent, I can play anything on this thing.
Features
My is metallic blue with Bigsby tremolo unit, which is very good. The mahagony set in neck and maple body produce very sweet and sustaining tone, good action right out the box, two tone and two vol pot`s and 3-way switch like LP or 335. Pure 10.
Ease of Use
Has nice low action, fast neck, easy to set right vol and tone, things just fly...
Quality
Very good, there are no any flaws anywhere, the good mechanics and PU,maybe is a good idea to be store in suitcase, because such beauty must be keeping on safety place.
Value
It is the best buy for the price in this range. But unfortunetly it be discontinued, I have just luck to find last one (maybe in Europa to)in our local Ibanez store in Celje (Slovenija), they just forget it in storehouse, and when they found it they sold it with 30% discount.
Manufacturer Support
I wasn`t any need for service until now, but I saw on Ibanez page online Manuals, and also spare part service page, so I think they do good job for now.
The Wow Factor
She is just beauty, like Snow White, not sexy like Snow White`s stepmother. Very good looking and very good handcraft, nice colour, nice bandage, no complein at all
