"The best pedal for it's price- one of the best at doing what it is designed to do."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I chose this product for its ability to maintain the integrity of its tones even when really crunching or popping solos. It is remarkably flexible in what it can do, and easy to determine what it cannot. If you want to go beyond the crunch that this can produce, then buy something specifically designed for that purpose to supplement this pedal. In concert with other pedals and effects, the range that this unit can produce is unbeatable. On its own, it is one of the best for doing what it is designed for.
Sound
This is a very flexible pedal. It creates anything from a mild blues overdrive effect to a solid crunch, all without losing any toneal qualities. For the price, this is the best pedal on the market!
Features
Effectvely, this is two seperate, high quality pedals. For those wishing to make a crisp, clear solo or a warm lower end crunch, this is a wondreful pedal. Like everything else, though, it has its limitations. If you are looking for something to take you completely over the edge for the heavy metal, grunge or punk sounds, look elsewhere.
Quality
Withstands punishment well. Very durable. No worries on wear and tear. High quality materials.
Value
I dig this pedal. It's amazing that it is sold at such a low price, because this is the best pedal for its price!
Manufacturer Support
Ibanez has a well-deserved reputation for good support. I have no experience with them with this particular pedal because it is made so well.
The Wow Factor
I'm not a big fan of silver. The lines are simple, and could be made more appealing by rounding edges and making the footswitch and controls more integrated into the body, as opposed to being additions that create a temporary or fragile appearance.

"Ibanez TS7 is the right Overdrive pedal to go for."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
All this time, I only knew Ibanez Tubescreamer TS9 AKA the green pedal. When, I saw it for the first time, I was skeptical at first because never seen a grey Tubescreamer and thought it was a bootleg or clone and someone put in the Ibanez logo. When I look for any reviews from the internet, it was a legit product. I bought it and try the sound, it was exactly a TS9 pedal but when I switched on to HOT, it gave me a whole new sound. Loving this pedal ever since and would like to recommend to any Overdrive pedal searchers out there to try it first.

"Nice pedal."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

This overdrive pedal is really good. I was expecting the sound to be a little bit heavier, but I still use it for stuff like Green Day and Incubus. I like this thing and I encourage you to get it.
Sound
The sound is nice. I was looking for a little bit heavier sound, but this thing is the best.
Features
The push buttons are a nice feature because I tend to screw up the controls by stepping on the wrong one.
Quality
This thing is a tank. It will last me for years.
Value
This thing is only $40! It's worth way more.
Manufacturer Support
Never spoke with the company. Never had to. Probably never will.
The Wow Factor
It's all silver. It looks nice.

"Love the sound, but...."

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
If the pedal wouldn't have broken both times, the rating would be a 9 or 10, but that was not the case. I do love the pedal because it looks great and sounds very cool, but if it doesn't hold up, what's the point?
Sound
I love the sound...Just like an overdrive pedal should sound like.
Features
I like the Hot circuit, along with the original TS7 circuit also. I like that the knobs push back into the body so that they don't get screwed up when being pounded on.
Quality
I've always hear the Ibanez is one of the best effects pedals to buy, but I've owned two TS7s in the last two months, and both have broken and don't turn on. I don't know if it's just bad luck on my part or what. I really like the pedal a lot, but I'm very disapointed that both broke after a months use.
Value
Great value....The reason I bought it.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't dealt with the company, just zZounds.com when it broke.
The Wow Factor
Looks pretty cool, like the silver.

"TS-7 vs. the TS-9, you make the call..."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I've only had this pedal a month, but It hasn't let me down in the five gigs I've had so far. If this thing is every bit as reliable as it's forefathers that I own, I look forward to owning this little overdrive pedal for a long, long time.
Sound
At first, I was dubious about how this version of the tubescreamer would sound due to its low cost. All it took was plugging this bad boy in to dispel those feelings! This pedal is every bit as responsive to my playing, as my TS-9, and then some. Its "hot" feature really gives it a warm, overdriven amp sound, almost akin to an arbiter fuzz face. I played it side by side my TS-9 and I honestly couldn't hear a difference. I know alot of purists might think this is crap, but if you have the opportunity to do this test for yourself, you'll see what I mean. As far as the cost goes, I don't know why the TS-7 costs so little, but I'm not complaining! I think this little pedal is even better than the Boss Blues Driver pedal, and I played them side by side as well to prove it.
Features
Very durable; I really like the fact that the knobs can be pushed into the body of the pedal.
Quality
Very tough, and road worthy. I'm retiring my TS-9 and using this bad boy on every gig.
Value
I can't believe how affordable this pedal is. Worth every penny, and more.
Manufacturer Support
Ibanez just keeps getting better, and they never fail to surprise me. I've contacted them in the past for previous purchases, and they have always been very helpful.
The Wow Factor
It's sleek, charcoal grey exteriour really catches they eye when compared to the "rainbow" of fruit flavors most other pedals offer. It feels solid when you stomp on it, and it's simple design is really user friendly.

"Versatile"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
A very good and different sound. Perfect for clean distortion. Very good for what it has been done. It can also been used as a booster, but it alters a bit the original sound , that's the only thing this thing needed to get a 10
Features
It has all it needs
Quality
a solid stompbox
Value
i would pay a little more, but i can't complain about it. A good choice for this price
Manufacturer Support
not a problem at all
