I have the Tube King hooked up to my Orange Dark Terror just for kicks. I hooked it up through the front at fist and it did not sound good at all. Then I hooked it up through the effects loop and then it sounded much better. Even in a HI Gain amp like the Orange DT this pedal can add some fun lead over drive sounds and get some nice EQ mixtures going on as well. Lots of play room with this pedal with all the knobs and settings and most importantly not really noisy. This is a big heavy pedal too.

"Tubes Are King!"
I will keep Tube King in my effects chain.
Sound
I own the older version of Tube King with the void knob, where the presence knob is on the new version. The sound quality of Tube King is superior to solid state drives, Tube King is low noise and warm with high voltage tube tone, solid state is high noise period. Tube King give you great clean tone at 9 oclock, great overdrive at 3 oclock. I got rid of all my solid state pedals, hooked up Tube King to my Moreley Bad Horsie Wah into my Crate Blue Voodoo 60 amp head and out to Crate 4x12 Cab, awesome! My LP, SG, Strat, and RIC scream great tone! I found RIC strings to be the best and priced at $10 for 6 packs and $15 for 12 packs, very nice price for the best strings around. Tubes are King just as the product says.

The Wow Factor
My Tube King is deep red and very good looking. Tube King is set up nice in design, you have to have a drive piece in your guitar effect chain, it definitely helps make good music.
