2021 guitar. Like many guitars that travel far, on ships across the seas, train, truck, big temp and humidity swings, etc., so I give them a break on setups. I can do them myself, as all players should do. That said, I fell in love with this guitar (I have 30+ guitars) and handed it to my tech for a free Plek job that was owed me. Big jumbo frets feel hard and they polished up perfectly. Mine plays flawlessly to the last fret. Tuning has always been as solid as any guitar I've ever owned (at least 70).What's really deceptive is how powerful it is given its almost impossibly light weight. The biggest warning is that, despite its elegant and subdued appearance, it is very powerful with the hot Dimarzios. Don't expect this to be like a HSS Strat. It's meant to handle high gain while maintaining note definition. The guitar is marvelous, but know what you're getting with a Tone Zone and True Velvet pickups. The work as intended, but are too hot for some. That's an easy fix if you think that. Drop in your preferred pickup(s) and drop these Dimarzios into a dull guitar and BAM! They will awaken it! Worst case, sell them to fund your replacements. They are fantastic pickups for hard rockers.With my aching back, this guitar has been a huge help to me. I love my Les Pauls, but I really pay the price for using them the next day. Some people conflate its feather weight with cheap quality. No, no, and no. Not the case.

This thing is amazing. Very impressed with the all around quality. Arrived absolutely perfect. Plays and sounds amazing with the Dimarzio pick ups. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone on the fence about it. Exceeded my expectations.

The first one I got had a chipped fret board. Looked like it had been glued to mask the fact that it was a used guitar or refurbished. The second one I got was fine but had some grounding issues and was not set up properly out of the box. The guitar is light weight and looks incredible. Sounds great too. My honest opinion though, I don't think this guitar is worth this much. Save up and get something else.

Tarnished and marred frets, with what looks like glue seeping out of a few of them. Most of the frets are not crowned properly. Nut is scraped up. Marring on the neck binding near the body. Shoddy pickup routing. A small dark blemish on the top of the body. The more I look over this guitar, the more issues I find. Couldn't believe zZounds didn't accidentally send me a B stock guitar, but they insist that couldn't happen. This is my second new Ibanez in a month I'm returning. They don't make em like they used to. Looks great from a distance, but a horribly built guitar. Sacrilege to the Ibanez name.
