I used to own an Ibanez RG760 Ruby RedThis is NOT an RG760 lolBut it is the same color and I am very happy about that! The neck is VERY close. Plays very fast. As this was a Blemished model here is what the issue was. The fretboard looked gradient faded. Which to be honest makes it unique. I like unique.Plays like butter. That's the goodThe bad... Bridge pickup... UghNo guys at all. Sounds very flat and tame. So I bought an SD JB that I will be swapping out for it. The other two pickups are perfectly fine. Good bluesy tones. For the money I saved $80 for a Seymour Duncan is money well spent. I'm still under $100 off of regular price. In a nutshell if you are looking for an old school RG like me, this is awesome!

I did not buy the RG550DX, however I have the RG 550 and the RG570. Both from zZounds. Both were "blemished". Both were in excellent shape. Still looked brand new. The 570 blemish was that the volume knob came off, it just had to be tightened down. Everything on these is amazing. Reminds me of the originals for sure. The neck is a little flatter than I'm used to, but didn't take long adjusting. You can't beat the original edge trem. Best ever made in my opinion. The pups aren't the best, but I always swap stock pups no matter what guitar it is or what it comes with. I don't think you'll find a better Japanese made guitar for this price. I hope Ibanez keeps these going w/ more color options etc.

I had many good years with zZounds , but the last three guitars were horrific . I ordered two Wolf Gangs , blemished and or missing parts . I returned those and reordered an RG550 DX, someone filed down the frets in the middle of the fret board wow !! i am very disappointed for an $1100 guitar to ship like that . There is NO quality control, they easily give you a return tag, i feel like all im doing is running to UPS for returns . Im very surprised that this is happening .
