Do your homework, compare everything in this price range. it boiled down to this guitar, I bought it sight unseen and my gamble payed off in spades.
Sound
The tone exceeds my expectations. Single notes are chrisp & clear & aggressive. chords are meaty, makes you sound better than you might really be. Just by buying this guitar I leveled up. Sounds better to my ear than my Les Paul with Burstbucker pros, not bad for stock pickups. Yeah...it's the sh-t.
Features
As Champ in Ancoreman said...WHAMMY!!! Its a dive bombing fool. That Trem will take you to some strange and wonderful places, way to much fun. Volume & tone knobs are solid feeling and are high quality. STAYS in tune...for days! Everything is top notch and for 500$...stole it.
Ease of Use
The action out of the box seemed to high and I was on my way to get the pro setup right away but after playing it its setup killer already, zero buzz! Very forgiving of semi sloppy play, if you miss your mark the RG has your back. Almost plays itself.
Quality
This is a high quality guitar and a great platform for upgrades. I bought it with upgrades in mind but after about 6 hours of playtime I wouldn't change a thing.
Value
Value is the one word I would use to best describe this guitar, this is no axe, it's a buzz saw!
Manufacturer Support
Forget em, won't need em.
The Wow Factor
Open the box, remove the packing and WOW! Your gonna be stunned with the color, (blackberry) its much deeper than the photo, the photo, any photo does no justice. After I oiled the fret board and waxed the body it looked like candy. Not the Sugar candy the stripper Candi. Dangerous curves. P.S. stay away from that Candi...bad for you.

Musical Background:

I'm ok, Jam at home, a lot.

Musical Style:

Hard rock & Hard rockin Blues. Hip Hop...yeah right.

I've been playing guitar for over 30 yrs & have owned & played many different guitars & i have to say once i got this thing set up, it truly is one of the best! My wife got it for me Xmas of 2011, it has become one of 4 of my main players & easily outshines the rest of my collection. Even some of the more expensive guitars i have aren't as slick as this thing is. You read alot of reviews where folks tell you "this the best bang for the buck" I can tell you this one truly is, the pickups have a wide tonal range which i find fits many of the different styles i play. This is my main practice ax & not a problem with performance, so as far as factory support goes, haven't needed it. Ibanez is hard to beat with this one

Musical Background:

I enjoy creating & writing music, been playing guitar for 30+ yrs, Haven't gigged for a while but jam every weekend!

Musical Style:

i play rock, contemporary, southern, some easy listening, and a little of the heavy stuff this Ibanez does it all & does it well
