"Killer Guitar"
Had it 3 yers and it isn't going anywhere
Sound
OK . This guitar is to be played, get to know it. Not alot to tweek, Thank God, but it is a blast to play. Sounds thick alittle dark, but with a 5 position switch and getting to know it....It comes to life. Flat comfortable neck. Put some 9"s on it and slap it around. One fun guitar
Features
I just got the guitar, thinking about changing pickups, the ones on it don't just suck, but I'd love to hear a pearly gate on this girl
Ease of Use
Here I go again... get to know it, iny adjustment to poys and Big different sounds. Love this little guitar
Quality
Mine is with the oil finish, dings and scratches, but thats my fault. If it was stolen I'd be getting another. Look spend too much for a name , or spend less, much less on this and change what you want (still have less in it) and have YOUR guitar
Value
You will not get a better deal
Manufacturer Support
NO PROBLEMS....Well maybe tuning, but I bend the crap out of them. My buddy's 78 Les Paul Gold Top gets out of tune as well
The Wow Factor
Don't know about sex appeal, but it fits my playing

"I love Ibanez"
Verified Purchaser

Very satisfied. It's been faithful to me.
Sound
Very good for classical and metal (despite not being able to fix a whammy bar into it). I replaced the bridge pickup because the pickups are really bad. The body just isn't built right for other types of music. It's unable to put out the right sound.
Features
Nothing special. I love the Wizard II neck. Makes good for shredding but despite my changes to the action at the bridge I can't seem to get rid of the B string buzzing.
Quality
Very well made. I love Ibanez made products because they're sturdy as hell and easy to use.
Value
Wonderful for the price. Can't beat Ibanez when it comes to quality and price.
Manufacturer Support
I'm sure they would be good if I needed help. But I don't even need help.
The Wow Factor
Very cool and sleek. Sexy guitar

"Awesome guitar"
Verified Customer

The dollar for dollar guitar I ahve ever seen. Skip the crappy paint and let the wood breath. I ahve been playing bare wood guitars for the last decade or so and would never play a pinted guitar. I also dont want a floating bridge to go out of tune, or fancy stuff to gawk at. Just a pure simple rock machine to let the music breath, and make my tube amps scream.
Sound
This thing has great sustain and that modern rock tone. I am craking this through a Fender Prosonic and Mesa Boogie F30.
Features
This has the stuff you need to really play. And does not have all of the crap that screws you up. Its the old axiom I firmly believe in "sometimes Less is More"
Quality
THe quality is abosultly amazing. How they can make this thing and ship it atound the world and sell it retail for $250 bucks? I may but another one or even a neck through RG in the future if this one improves my live performance.
Value
The best I have ever seen.
Manufacturer Support
I dont think you will need any support unless you are a bonehead. Sevice on this guitar is as simple as it can gets. I did adjust the neck tension a bit from the factory settings.
The Wow Factor
I got it.

"Sounds good, feels great, but you had better be good friends with your guitar tech."
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I don't think I'll buy another low end RG. It's a great player but the quality isn't there. It truly is a 250 dollar guitar. If the quality were there, as great as it is to play, and as great as it feels, it would be my perfect guitar.
I do really love playing it though. I don't know what that is, I am going crazy I guess. It's just "right" if that makes any sense.
Sound
Great smooth mellow tone. For factory elcheapo hbuckers, they sound real good. Great sustain. You can get a nice bright tone all the way to smooth and milky.
Features
Features? What features? Let's see, no accessories, no manual, no, well, anything. You get a straight up solid body string through with double humbucker, 1 tone control, 1 volume, one 5 way pickup selector switch, and that's pretty much it.
Quality
This is the only part I was really disappointed with. I have the black finish model. If you so much as breathe on it, the finish comes off of the body, and the wood dents VERY easily. It looks about 10 years old after about 3 days worth of playing. The neck moves around a lot too. I have had to have mine adjusted by the dealer weekly. I had to have 2 fretts ground down because they were too TALL. The neck pickup came loose and was flapping around inside. You have to raise the pickups back up after about 6 hours of play because, as I found out, the screws loosen up and the pickups sink.
It really does sound good though and it's a blast to play. The neck feels great, they guitar just "feels right". If it wasn't for that, I would get rid of it becuase it really is a piece of junk in some ways.
Value
For the money, it's not bad. I hoped for better quality but... it really is a lot of fun to play, it feels good, and it sounds good.
Manufacturer Support
There is no support outside of the dealer. There's not even a phone number, e-mail address, street address, nothing on their website. There is no support out of the company what so ever. If you buy it used, or from any non-Ibanez dealer, you are SOL.
The Wow Factor
It's not much of a looker, there's not really any great features. There's just nothing that special about it. I only bought it because of the way it feels and sounds.

"This is a review for a guitar that I bought."
Excellent guitar. I love it!
Sound
The strings that came with the guitar sounded really bad, so it was hard to get an accurate reading on how it sounded. But I bought some new strings, and it sounded incredible.
Features
It's a pretty plain guitar. Not that it's bad, but it has nothing really outstanding. But it's my first guitar, so I don't really need anything outstanding.
Ease of Use
It's very easy to get sound from this product, unless you're just learning, or you're a complete moron.
Quality
The face was getting kind of skuffed after playing for a few weeks, but that's going to happen to any guitar you get.
Value
Ecellent value! Worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had any problems with it yet.
The Wow Factor
It's a really good guitar, especially if it's your first one, like it is for me. It deffinately has some sweet sex appeal.

I looked at the picture on this site and the price of the mahogany oil finish and said hhhhmmmmm too good to be true. Well it's even cooler looking then what on this page . Has a basswood body just like the other ibanez guitars that cost 200 bucks more . I am in shock on what a deal this .
Value
What can I say the best deal I ever got on a guitar
Manufacturer Support
Great job no problems what so ever . Got the guitar in 2 days as ordered .

"Sexy, comfortable, begs to be touched!"
I love this guitar. I love the tone and playability. Sexy looks, and just begs to be held. So light and comfortable. Beautiful natural finnish. If you're on a budget or not, it is worth having around, GREAT DEAL! I hope Ibanez introduces other series' of these more bang-for-the-buck type axe's!
Sound
After replacing the stock so-so INF pickups with a set of active EMG 81/85's this thing absolutely OOZES tone and resonance! Excellent sustain and presence! Deep wicked lows and killer banchee screaming highs! I have an American Strat, and a Gibson Les Paul Studio and I can tell you this RG doesnt play "second fiddle" to either one.
Features
This Guitar proves that sometimes less is more. Very simple electronics and very easy to use. 24 frets. Tuners are o.k. but I went ahead and replaced them with a set of locking Gotoh's. The string-through body design adds miles of sustain and hot tone. I know some people love having a confusing array of tone and volume pots, but not me. If you know what you're doing you dont need all that. Granted, the Stock INF 3&4 pickups are not the best, but for the money... Great Deal!
Ease of Use
It just feels right in your arms. Light, durable, and after replacing the pickups... ESCELLENT sound! And I love the fast and super thin Wizard neck and Jumbo frets, perfect for shredding! A breeze to set up! The intonation is perfect. Just plug-n-play! Very Sturdy guitar. True, the body wood does dent easily, but it just adds character.
Quality
Beautiful craftmanship! Very sexy looks and feel. I love the Natural Oiled Mahogany finnish! It looks and plays like an $800+ guitar. Like I said, I replaced the stock pickups and tuners, but just for personal preference and taste. No problems with the cut of the nut like I had with my USA Strat. With a little tweaking of the neck its perfect, no twisting like you can get with other guitars. One flaw - the truss adjustment hex head nut at the head stock is a little hard to get to.
Value
Show me a guitar that you can buy for the price that looks or sounds better. In this instance, you get more than what you pay for. For beginning Student or experienced Veteran it will find a place in the heart of both.
Manufacturer Support
Gave it a 10 because I never needed it. Theres really nothing that you could'nt take care of yourself. Easily maintained. A breeze to work on.
The Wow Factor
I own it. Thinking about getting one for my beginning younger brother.
