This is a very cool bass. Been playing fretless 45 of my 48 years of playing bass. This neck is a bit wide for me, but it's not an issue. The lines on the side of the neck throw me off a little. I'm not used to side lines, just side dots. For me, playing this bass is easier standing than sitting. Wearing it is very comfortable, it stays in place, it's not neck heavy. Going to put flatwound on it and have the action lowered and intonated to my specs. The fretboard has the feel of wood. No dead spots. Overall, I love this bass.
