I own two other Ibanez acoustics, both AC240 OPN, which are the best 300 dollar mahognay guitars I've ever played.. I wanted to move up to the "torrefied" mahogany top and back, and wanted the cream / ivory binding and purfling (as opposed to the tortoiseshell on the AC240). The AC240 is so awesome that I naturally assumed that another $300 for the same body shape and torrefied material would get me more guitar, with a better tone, sustain, etc. Unfortunately, this is not the case...This may be the quietest guitar I have ever played finger-style.....Tone seems good, and it's beautiful on the wall...but the torrefication process appears to have "mellowed / aged" the mahogany to the point of diminishing returns. This guitar is also incredibly light....When strummed with a pick, it seems much better, but I rarely play that way. I recently bought a Guild OM-120, and I will stick with it.

Musical Background:

I play alone for sanity when traveling, for fun at home with my daughters, and have about 15-20 years of playing behind me.

Musical Style:

Acoustic finger-style Blues / Folk / Country
