apparently, there is no quality control at the plant that makes these cables. Half of the plugs were too short to seat in any jack on my patch bay. Some of the plugs were physically too short, while others were set too deep into the molded grip.. either way, I needed these to work, and didn't have time to re-order, so I trimmed the plastic back far enough so that the plugs would seat properly.. some had to be trimmed so much that the plug was barely in the plastic, but it worked. After the gig, these were thrown in the trash. I ordered a case of 1/4" plugs, and a reel of cable.. from now on, if there's a problem, it's all on me.
