"great for beginners"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
this amp has lasted me my first 2 years of bass playing pretty well. worked as a beginner then lasted me as a practice amp when i upgraded. portable, easy to use, reliable, cheap. the sound isn't fantastic but it works well on low volumes. I'd recommend it to bass players just starting out. I wouldn't replace it if it was broken/stolen but only because since using this I have upgraded to an Ashdown EB 12-180.
Sound
sound is pretty full with ok tone at low volumes but as soon as you get to higher volumes (expecially with high bass eq) you tend to get some pretty major distortion. Its pretty nice distortion but it would be nice to be able to play loudly with a clean sound.
Features
nice and simple eq with all the knobs and sockets labelled clearly. was dead handy when i was just starting out. helped get to grips with what different settings sounded like.
Ease of Use
its very easy to use. basically a plug and play situation. great for beginners, you don't want to be faffing about, you just want to get going.
Quality
I've had it about 2 years as a begenner/practice amp, the only thing that has ever broken is the tiny blue cover on the high dial on the eq. i'd rely on it as a practice amp.
Value
great to start with, ok sound.
Manufacturer Support
never dealt with them

"Nice little amp"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Just bought one as a practise amp, it's great for that, and I have active and passive basses. Sounds good at the kind of volume you're likely to need in your room, crank it too far and it starts to distort a little. An added bonus is that my electro-acoustic guitar sounds pretty good through it too, so it might be useful as a stage monitor on gigs, and there's a line out for connecting to a PA.

I bought it because the price was good and the people in the store told me that is is a good thing. I'll never, never trust people in stores now.
Sound
Most stupid sound i have ever heard.. sounds like a guitaramp with a bit bass in it.
Features
There are many things you can do with it. Changing the high, mid, bass and use it with effects, active/passive basses
Ease of Use
Plug-play, easy.. but it sounds worse without standard properties
Quality
Good for guitar players that wants a bit bass in their sound.. when you use it with your bassguitar it sounds more crap than it gives a tone...
Value
The price is not that bad.. but too high for it.
The Wow Factor
Everyone is telling you, great amp it is amazing. Well, dont believe it.. after a few months it is the most crap product you have ever heard.

"Greatest beginner amp ever."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I've been playing the bass for about four years now and of all of the bass amps ive had this has the best sound for its price.
Features
Very, very good accessories and features. I love the effects loop on it.
Quality
This company is one of the best bass amp manufacturer in the world. It is a very well made amp and is very reliable. It makes a great amp for traviling bands. Lasts for about 2 years, which is great for beginner bassists because once the amp wears down, the bassist is ready for a more advanced amp.
Value
THIS IS THE BEST BEGINNER AMP YOU CAN GET FOR THIS PRICE.
Manufacturer Support
The support was preety good.
The Wow Factor
This is a very cool looking amp.

"Crappy Sounds, descent for begginners for about 3 months"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
this product produces the sound from the E-strings very poorly. When the volume is put above 7 and im playing on the E-string the amp cannot make the sound and make a buzzing sound, almost like a im using a distortion pedal.
Features
It has a passive and a active input, that can be useful
Quality
The passive input, the one i use 99.99% of the time is very loose. I think it is going to break.
