Hartke 2.5XL Cabinet Customer Review

Honestly, I am thinking of adding a whole other stack just like it for the other side of the stage. One 2.5XL and a 1X15XL on each side now that would be to cool! Then I have no need to go through the PA for just about any gig.
Sound
Excelent for your mid's and high's. Provides a crisp, clear tone to your sound without loosing to much low end. But you will need a deep bass cab to acompany your stack. I would suggest the Hartke 1X15XL cab. You can tell when the little horn is hitting those high's and it delivers that little extra you need that most cab's don't.
Features
Rugged enough for UPS to bang the hell out of the box. My cab box came completely demolished and the cab was in excelent condition.
Ease of Use
Plug it in, adjust your head unit, and go.
Quality
So far so good the workmanship seems to be solid. No loose screws or rattle.
Value
For the price I dare you to find a better solution to your high and midrange needs.

The Wow Factor
The inner locking corner protectors make this a sure thing when stacking on another Hartke cab. This cab stands out from just about any other for good reason!

I will keep it until it blows up or until I quit. I am a Hartke guy from experience. I have played through alot of stuff, and some of the ridiculous prices some of the other brands charge are not supported by the sound they put out.
Sound
I was using a hartke 4 x 10 and added this to get my amp at 4 ohms where it is happy. What a difference. These little cabs are astonishing. They just produce it all. I am thinking of selling my 4 x 10 and just getting another one of these. They are light enought to carry with one hand.
Features
Well I don't understand alot about speakers and such but the materials are first rate, the little proprietary high freq driver really gets the sound that modern players need. I wish they made them with a 16 ohms so you could have three of them and get down to 4 ohms. I would rather carry around three of these than one and a 4 x 10. 4 x 10 s are so heavy. Hartke does not have a cover for it so I had to get one made at tukicovers.com. they have a pattern.
Quality
Outstanding. Very road worthy. we play about 140 dates per year. I have had this about 6 months and it just boogies.
Value
300 dollars, 14 dollars shipping. You just cannot beat it. I tried. I even shopped building a cab myself, but for the money you could never get close to something that sounds like this little bugger.
Manufacturer Support
Honestly I have never had to call Hartke. I bought it from Zzounds which has behaved first rate with me always.
The Wow Factor
It looks very cool on stage. It came with a big Hartke paper sticker on the grill which was hard to get off and I still have some paper on it that I havent gotten around scratching off with my fingernail. It drives our guitar player nuts. The sticker should have a less permanent glue. The more of these cabs you have the cooler they would look. I am thinking of going rack mount with a stereo power amp and putting another one on the other side of the stage on an amp stand.

active musician, playing continually with travelling band

Musical Style:

These are going discontinued from Harkte. They should probably rethink that. Every time I find one of these cabs, they're gone within a week.
Sound
This thing lives for low B and lower.... if you dare.
Features
5inch driver gives tremendous amount of clarity to this cab.
Ease of Use
Plug it in.
