"Stand falls apart after several years use."

The rubberized height adjuster on this stand suddenly fell apart causing my guitar to fall to the floor. When I examined the stand the height adjustment, the rubber was all sticky and took a couple of hand washings to remove the residue. For the price of these stands this should not happen. It's supposed to be a lifetime warranty, but only if you have the original receipt from 12 years ago.
