So I had to replace an old Hofner Icon Series I had for 15yrs, always felt like a toy, no zero fret, but still worked for me. This Ignition Series is highly impressive, feels like an actual instrument, well built, zero fret (very important). Standard spruce top, maple back, sides and neck. Rosewood fretboard, ebony bridge. Neck came sufficiently tensioned, no bows or twists. Took virtually no time to set up, Very low action without buzzing. Sounds wonderful. If you're looking for a solidly made Hofner at a great price point this should fit the bill.
