This deck does what it say it will. Allows you to use 2 motorized decks for scratching with Serato. Personally, I don’t place this in the “go to” gig controller category. This is a premium portable scratch deck with dedicated stems buttons for quick cuts. I wouldn’t use it outside of a small store or lounge area as the headphone output is not currently loud enough for club/ larger venue and there is no mic eq. It has all the basic paddles, play/cue, cue pads etc and they all feel good to me. I like the eq knob feel, it has some high end weight to the turn. The tempo faders feel smooth and accurate. The platters themselves I almost wasn’t sure of. I have noticed people say they experience the same thing where they get no spin back when you use them one way and even then one side spins back more. My records were catching the whole plate when Id try to spin back so I thought maybe they made the holes too tight lol I heated up a box cutter blade and carved it out more and it def helped / fixed it but I don’t advise you messing up the records like me. When scratching it gives more than enough spin back but if you’re used to real 45s or coming from the rane one it’s something you have to almost adjust to because it’s very noticeable. Scratching & letting go is smooth and controlled. The bands do the work needed to spin the smaller 45 discs. Does not take away from scratching at all. Faders are light but premium. Never felt like I’ve had to baby them. I’m sure innofader mod is better but these are perfectly fine out the box. If you want to learn scratching, juggling, beat matching via the match guides, and also have a controller ready to go when needed for small gigs then this is definitely for you. Very satisfied with the purchase as I knew what I was purchasing. At under $900 and this size, you won’t get this portability and function in another controller. The included carrying bag was just a bonus. It something small enough to carry to a party, a park, a friends house etc for a session if you’re into the scratching focused side of things. Hopefully they can add Djay support later on.
