Got this to down size from my ha3500 and a xl4.5 and got to say for a 35 lb. combo this thing rocks. It got plenty of power and great tone and definitely a lot easier setting up and tearing down at the end of the night. It has nice warm lows and that hartke punch, bass you can feel as well as hear, do gotta get it off the floor though. Active or passive sounds excellent through this amp. I would highly recommend it.

This is it! Light weight, powerful, responsive. What else do you need?
Sound
There are lots of good, value priced amps out there that all have pretty good power and sound fine. However, when I was weighing my options, I was about to pickup a Fender Rumble, which is a pretty good little amp, but was shocked that their power rating is based on two speaker cabinets, which means the the power rating is rated way high with just the combo. I then saw an add for the new Hartke HD amps. Picked up a 500 HD with two neodymium 10s with the new dual paper/aluminum cone. Just a killer rig! Weighs less than my Deluxe Reverb and it gets as loud as you need or want it! Get one!!
Features
When they say 500 Watts, they mean it!
Ease of Use
Great sound! There are a couple of different modes and plenty of EQ.
Quality
Seems solid and Hartke has a decent reputation.
Value
Best value for a hugging amp AND a practice amp.
Manufacturer Support
No issues

Opened this thing up this evening and talk about a full 500 watts of power! This is really all anyone needs . Great tone and very versatile, I play 80’s rock and metal and this little guy powers over a very loud drummer. Only draw back is there is no extension speaker out but just sit it on a bar stool or something just to get it off the ground a little and rock on! Oh and I forgot to mention that it weighs almost nothing, this is my new practice and playing shows amp, leave your big stuff at home
