Had always wanted a Hartke full stack and after purchasing my HL cabs I knew I needed to complete the setup. Years ago I originally had an old ATK 3500 head and it sounded great but was so heavy in my rack case it just wasn't a viable option for me anymore. This new LX8500 has all the tone of my ATK with double the wattage and an 1/8th of the weight! Controls are easy to understand but plenty of tonal possibilities. The only drawback I'd say is the built in fan is quite loud when it kicks in so might not be suitable for studio sessions but for live shows this thing is fantastic! I (and my back) couldn't be happier!

At The sound and tone !The compressor gives it a whole new tone from regular amps and is simple yet portable and I have played through this amp for 3 days and have found 8multiple shapes and sounds ! It reminds me of my old 1200 watt SVT by ampeg,AND IT HAS BALLS:)!!GREAT JOB HARTKE! Again I am AMAZED!
