Well I bought this guitar on zZounds after a lot of debate on whether I wanted this one or the G2420T Aged Brooklyn Burst. After a month long nrain argument (lol...this one or the 2420) I finally made the decision, and it was the right one. I like this guitar better because of the smaller body. SO when the guitar arrived, two (2) days after ordering it, I opened the box and I FELL IN LOVE. This is one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever owned, and I have two (2) PRS Custom 24's. I purchased the gold dust, and I am overjoyed. It is lightweight so easy to play, and the finish is amazing. It plays great, however I had to conduct a setup for my comfort level. My neck was straight, but had to lower the strings for my style of playing. The only flaw in the finish is around the f holes, on the edges they were not finished very well. I did my homework thouroughly before purchasing including contacting Gretsch or actually Fender about the crappy warranty. I did get an immediate response, however I thought it was pretty lame. I do however LOVE LOVE LOVE this guitar and I am very glad I made this choice. This review was made after two concerts and a month after receiving this guitar from zZounds. zZounds will be my future \for guitar buying needs from here on out as long as they continue to serve with the same customer geared attitude that I have thus far seen.

Bought this as my first Hollow body(semi) I have gibsons and fenders ,ect and they all do a thing, but they dont do the hollow thing. Got the gold dust version of this , looks pretty awesome, some slight manufacturer paint defects, but they are super slight, no one would ever notice it,..set up out of the box was pretty good, needed A slight truss rod adjustment, about a 1/4 turn. The bigsby is cool if you dont have one, which I didnt. Only had Floyd's fender and kahler . So it was a new experience restringing it, But super easy after the first string, The negative about this guitar is probably the cheap ABR1 style TOM bridge, it's where I pinpointed the strings going out of tune and there was a bit of a rattle coming from it as well because of the retaining wire. So I replaced it with a roller bridge from Amazon, and it made this guitar perfect,..i wish Gretch/fender would have just put one on in the first place , the roller bridge was legit dirt cheap( went with an import bridge because it was an import guitar. Chances of post location and string spacing all being metric was high.) Probably the only thing that was off but like i said the replacement bridge was so dirt cheap idc not really a negative, Overall the guitar feels and sounds great, if you want an entry into semi hollow guitars this is a great one with classic Gretch look, at a pretty reasonable price point, the abr1 bridge kinda sucks but is easily swappable for a Roller saddle bridge, easily found on Amazon. I believe I purchased it from Kmise. zzounds has been awesome, and will Def Buy from them again.
