...which would be amazing! I won't get into all the technical aspects here. But, this guitar is worth more than what they're asking for it, in my honest opinion. I really was not expecting it to be as diverse a guitar as it is. Mainly purchased for playing only a few compositions, but my how that changed! From playing country to rock and everything in between, this cat has all that. I've got this plugged into a Marshall 2555X Silver Jubilee half stack reissue, and it just shines. No matter what style I'm playing in; country, rockabilly, blues, rock n roll, etc, it's a great sounding and great feeling instrument and it delivers! I had a couple questions and I reached out to Gretsch and their customer service was top notch. My first Gretsch, and I'm overall very pleased!

After now owning it a full year I think its time to review it.Pros1st. The finish is gorgeous in person you wont be disappointed. 2nd. The pickups are killer almost 99% of the time( will explain further below)3rd. The neck feels more like a small d shape but full if it makes sense.4th. The 3 volumes make it easy to dial in any sound.5th. As clean as it can be it can get chunky and handle its weight.Cons1st. One major issue I had was it seemed dry fingerboard wise. Had to oil the board.2nd. Didnt come set up at all had to have it gone through so intonation was perfect.3rd. Every once in awhile the bridge pickup shorts out seems like it does it randomly not a major issue for now. 4th. The gretsch rep for new england area.... met at a local shop and witnessed him being EXTREMELY rude and demeaning to a worker at the shop that had set up the gretsch. "You must not know anything on guitars do you. Each one is set up prior to leaving factory" Yes if its japanese or usa i understand that but the koreans and chinese do not come "perfectly" intonated and set up. The gist. So after all said and done I truly love the guitar but ever since that one experience Ill probably never buy gretsch again. Dealing with ZZ was a blast quick and easy and have been more than helpful. Gretsch just has to hire better employees is my only real issue besides quality control.
