I bought a pair of these for my wife's birthday present along with some other gear. I wired them up with xlr cables from a Mackie mixer that had a turntable, cd player and a Bluetooth receiver. I purchased floor mounted stands for them as they are rather large which is a good thing. The sound? Impeccable. I was blown away how good they sounded compared to my Alesis Elevate 5 speakers which actually sound very decent. They are dead quiet. No noise at all. These are a steal at this price. And power? They can get very loud if that is your thing without any coloring or distortion. I like them so much I just ordered the baby brother to these monitors for my desktop daw. These would be too big for me to use as desktop monitors at least in my case and they deserve floor mounted stands. All I can say is buy a pair you will not be disappointed especially at the closeout price!

I'm pretty sure Les would be proud! Are they the quietest? maybe not. Are they dead accurate? Again, probably not. Do they sound good? Yep! So all you people that were whining about them, that is if you even bought them, either pony up way more money to satisfy your brand fixation or just go record more music in that second bedroom you call a studio, and be happy!! For the money, these things are fine!

I think the sound is good for the price, cabinets are well made. The metal chrome guards on the woofers look like something from the 70,s. They should have been numbered in sets and the veneer book matched, mine don’t match up, one has good flame, the other one doesn’t. I wouldn’t have paid full price for them, but at this price their ok.
