There has been a lack of feedback on this product. Frankly, the other review had me a little hesitant to purchase this product. Let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. The sound is outstanding. The bass is clear, low, and just booms with absolutely no snare "buzz" even when the bass is played close to the top of the drum. The snare is crisp and strong but with an absolutely beautiful tone. And talk about beautiful. This cajon is absolutely gorgeous! The construction is absolutely high quality. This is my second cajon and it puts the first to shame. Just can't say enough about this cajon! SO glad I purchased it. Outstanding instrument. Gotta go play now!!

Gon Bops Rombero makes a great first impression. Gorgeous woodwork with several types of wood and dovetail corners top and bottom. Very loud with crisp snare sound. Deep bass also, but it has snare with it. You better like the snare! It is not adjustable. It makes a great counterpoint to my non-snare cajon. If you want the option of snare and non-snare playing. I would check out the Gon Bops Mixto. This is an fantastic snare cajon.

New cajonero. Bass player for ten years.
