"Quite a good buy."
I would buy another Godin Freeway, but maybe the SA next time.
Sound
Sounds much better than its price would suggest. By just adjusting the pickup height you can get anything from a light humbucker sound, great for a bluesy, just breaking-up overdrive, to a really crunchy "brown" sound.
Features
H-S-H pickups, 5-way switch, vol, tone. Standard fare. I just wish they had used a 2-post tremolo instead of a vintage trem configuration. This would probably sound even better with a wilkinson bridge, and stay in tune.
Quality
The guitar in general is very well-built, compares favorably against guitars 2x-3x in price. However, the high E string seems to be too close to the edge of the neck. I'm thinking the neck was designed for 2 1/8" spacing and the bridge is 2 3/16". But with a little care when playing, this shouldn't be a problem.
Value
This is a great buy for something at this price. With the money saved, you can replace the stock parts with locking tuners and a better bridge. And even pickups, if you're not satisfied.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed to.
