This is an amazing 2A style compressor with great tube warmth and smoothness. I love it on singing vocals and snare drums. It can add this nice decay because the compressor’s attack and release times are program dependent. I like the true bypass and meters, it gives you an accurate idea on what is happening with your signal. Another thing that I like is that it is the size of a 3A which means you can mix and match and add it to one of dualmount rack kits that Golden Age Project sells.This product can be used on any source if used correctly.

This is a great compressor, dead simple to use, clean audio path, the emphasis control is very helpful. The build quality is great, the size is good, but the unit is heavy and hot. At this price it would be easy to justify and second purchase.

Coming from owning a Teletronix 2A yrs ago and trying a couple other 2A style compressors...I feel this one is the best one so far. I ended up installing a 6aq5 tube to bring the character closer to the OG. Only reason I took half star away is because of its half rack frame.
