I was super excited about this purchase, did a lot of research before ordering.
The versatility of this controller is what sold me. I liked the idea of being able run a flash drive instead of having to be tied to the computer. This thing has two pretty major issues. When using the stand alone mode with a flash drive, there is a very noticeable pop and skip in the track when loading a cue track. sometimes the track will even skip to a different position in the song. Ive tried changing flash drives, different folder arrangements, number of tracks on the drive, file types, etc. Nothing has worked so far. This bug renders the stand alone mode annoying at best, and unusable in any type of live setting.
The second issue is in regards to VDJ. Using the factory mapping, and gemini drivers, the playback channels (headphone, master, etc) get switched around by the software. Sometimes it works as it should, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the headphones work, sometimes they do not. Sometimes, the channels are backwards. I have tried reinstalling VDJ, Updated the drivers, updated the unit with the gemini updater, tried many different asio audio settings. Ive gotten it to work correctly, saved the audio profile, and when I re open VDJ the settings while the same as before, do not function correctly.
I have emailed Gemini several times, but none of the advice they provided was any different than the user manual. They did not address the popping or skipping, only addressed the VDJ issues. None of which helped me out.
At this point, the GMX is sitting in its box, and I am out of ideas. I have two payments left to zZounds, and am past the return deadline. There is little to no info online, and no forum support either. I am super happy with zZounds, and will purchase more in the future, but am extremely dissatisfied with the quality and support I have received from gemini. As I am unable to use it, or return it, it will sit in its box in my studio indefinitely.

Absolutely disappointed in this product. Major glitches and freezes and now it's completely stuck in a logo screen mode. Spoke to Gemini and no real help there. Just disgusted and will never buy another product from them and throwing away my mixer from them as well.
