I watched videos on this guitar for awhile before making the plunge to buy, no one even remotely close to me had one i could go play. I am so happy I bought it! this is a very nice guitar and all solid wood at that price point is amazing. the guitar is built well, and sounds as good any guitar costing twice as much or even more, and I have those kind of guitars also , but have found myself playing this guitar more than any I have. mine personally had perfect action right out the box, this thing plays like butter. and even with the smaller body shape you would never know it, this thing is loud and sounds amazing. haven't used the manufacturer support but I have talked to the guild people and I do not imagine they would give me any trouble. did I mention how beautiful this guitar is, they got the look just right. it looks straight from the sixties . I love it.

I am a beginner guitar player, and have tried out several guitars trying to find one that feels right. This guitar was perfect right out of the case! It sounds amazing and is comfortable to play. The price for this guitar is unbelievable for the quality! As I said, I am just a beginner at playing, but my son is a professional so I have shopped, listened to and tested out many guitars of various makes and models over the years so I know a good thing when I see it! And hear it! This Guild is the one!

Just got my OM-120 a few days ago and this guitar doesn't disappoint. I already have a D-140 and D-240e and wanted a smaller body guitar. From the specs it doesn't appear to be much smaller than a Dreadnought but it is in person. It's exactly what I was looking for and Guild is one of the best Acoustic guitars out there. I can't afford an American model but the 100 westerly series is phenomenal and the nut is wider than on the American made models so it is a preference for me. The finish is beautiful, and the sound is brilliant. Very happy with the guitar as usual with Guild and zZounds is the best way to get them.

"This out-plays nearly every guitar I've owned"

Truth... I have owned gibsons (sj-100, j-45, j-35), taylor (big baby), yamaha and Alvarez. This guitar has better tone out the box than all of the guitars mentioned above. Yes, this is a matter of opinion but it is my review so I am giving you my opinion. It doesn't come with built in electronic so I bought the fishman rare earth humbucker for acoustics and slapped that sucker in there. It a warm tone that is hard to describe. It stay in tune after long playing time and capo doesn't mess with the tuning either. I love this guitar and wish I had bought this guitar a long time ago.

I’ve been looking for the “perfect’ all mahogany guitar for awhile. I finally found it the OM-120. Tried the Martin 000-15 (nut too narrow for me) and the 15-SM (Too quiet) Tried the Guild M-120 (body too small, too quiet) This guitar kcks serious ass, sounds clearer than even the Martins, and looks so, so beautiful. My Rosewood Yamaha LS-16 just went back in the case, maybe forever.

Let me start by saying, I have 6 acoustic guitars. Some expensive, some mid priced. Of course I’ve had all the big names as well: Martin, Taylor, Gibson, Larrivee etc...This guitar, for the price= untouchable. Absolutely unrivaled in its price point. With me it was between this and a Martin 00015m.I’m so glad I chose the guild. It’s an exceptional sounding instrument & it left me enough money for an LR Baggs Anthem. The tone of this guitar is exceptional. Good job Guild!

"Swearing Off of Guild Forever"

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am officially done with Guild. I purchased an OM-120 a few months ago. While the look is breath taking, my experience has been plagued with QC issues. First one had to be sent back because I came to learn it left the factory with a broken brace. Received the 2nd one, and the top was warped by the bridge. Killer look and sounds, but ever since moving operations over to China, quality has suffered. I felt afraid to play it because of how fragile it felt. Sent it back and got a Yamaha FS3 instead. I'd caution anyone looking at this to be aware these are known to be poorly constructed, especially the bracing. For some reason, the stock bridge is about a mile high, and even when swapped out the action is still incredibly high, almost to the point of being unplayable. I've reached out to Guild multiple times without even so much as a call back. I guess this is just the kind of company they are now.
