Guild F-150R Rosewood Jumbo Acoustic Guitar with Case

Hear the rich texture of a rosewood body with the bold projection of a jumbo-sized guitar. The F-150R is a great deal on a classic-style Guild acoustic.

Let me preface this by saying that I bought it because I love my Guild F-1512 and I wanted a 6 string with the same kind of attributes. I have not been disappointed. The quality of materials and workmanship is excellent for the price range. The setup needed a little work when it got here, most likely due to shipping conditions. Once that was done it has put my old faithful Takamine into the closet and I doubt it will be coming back out anytime soon. In particular the combination pf booming bass and delicate clarity really works for the music I write. Guild did a great job.

Musical Background:

I play guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, piano.

I have been playing rock, pop, folk, metal etc ... since I was about 12 (I'm 40). I am a home player that really just does it fo

"Guild F150R w/Venetian cutaway and Fishman Sonotone"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

This guitar is a very good deal for a Jumbo cutaway w/ electronics. The rosewood is closely grained w/ excellent linearity, on both the back and sides, and the Sitka spruce top is among the best I've ever seen in a Jumbo. Playability is excellent, and the tone and projection are sweet and strong. The Sonotone could be better; use your mics. This is not an F50R, but it doesn't cost $3500 either. Consider shaving braces if there is a luthier you trust to do this. Finally, I don't think there are any production guitars at this price point that sound and play better.

Musical Background:

50 yrs

Musical Style:

Maybe some blues.

This sounds just as good as the American made version of this guitar. The money you save is basically on labor. After all it's just wood and steel. High quality and built to Guild standards. It's is my second Guild and probably not my last. YOu will enjoy the look and sound of this guitar. Good bass and more treble than most rosewoods (especially jumbos) have.

Musical Background:

over ten years, outdoor jams with friends

Musical Style:

country, Christian, bluegrass and some rock
