This is probably the very last guitar I will be buying. My son owns a Gibson Les Paul custom shop Elete, and I have already willed the Dove to him to knock around on after I'm gone.
Sound
I own a 1990 model, (S/N 91920015) and it just keeps sounding better all the time. I play a lot of John Fogerety, Rolling Stones, Beatles, and it sounds exactly like any one of their guitars.
Features
The maple sides and back really make mine sound great. Really crisp and clear tone. I tried a Hummingbird first before playing the Dove, and the sound was like day and night.
Ease of Use
The guitar was set up perfect to me right off the rack.....very easy to play and sounded great. My son pays guitar and many of his friends play also, and this guitar is the "legend" of our city. Everyone loves the sound and playability of my Dove.
Quality
The Dove stands second to none in my opinion. After 20 plus years of pretty intense playing, it is still in showroom condition. It will hold it's tune after hours of playing, or just sitting in the case for weeks.
Value
I paid $1,075.00 for it back in 1991 and that was a ton of money back then, but it was the best money I have ever spent.
Manufacturer Support
Although I have never had to contact the company, this is a testement to the quality of the instrument.
The Wow Factor
The workmanship and craftmanship is excellent, and the Dove inlays make this a very appealing instrument in my opinion.

"Gibson Dove *Totally Awesome*"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will always be satisfied with this product. If I ware this guitar out I would buy it again, but with a pickup. If this guitar was stolen from me I would find a way to replace it with the same model. When my band plays acoustic this guitar is perfect for the job.
Sound
Some times the sound buzzes but overall it has a very clear tone and a great sound projection.
Features
The guitar came with everything it needed to make a beautiful tone, the only thing I changed was the strings to my favorite ones.
Ease of Use
When I was looking at other Gibson models this one stuck out not only by the famous Dove but I loved the sound more than the others.
Quality
Its a Gibson it is the best quality in a guitar.
Value
This guitar is a steal for this price with the tone, quality, and with how much I use it, I would have payed more, its worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
I have had no problems with the support or the guitar, when I bought the guitar it was sent and packaged very well.
The Wow Factor
I would say the pickguard is the main beauty for this guitar, but when you see the guitar you'll do anything for it.

All I have to say is wow..... Too bad Gibson is limiting production to only 50 of these Ebony Doves..... First off what a great guitar,. The finish and everything is absolutely top notch..... Only thing is Gibson should had used the original bell 1963 white bell DOVE truss rod cover... But I found one..... Overall I don't think they get much better than this.... Thanks ZZounds!!!!

I dont see myself buying another guitar.. ever
Sound
When i was shopping around i played the Martin M36, the Eric Clapton Signature, and the Gibson J-185... the Dove blew them all away
Ease of Use
It was set up in store. the action is low but there is no fret buzz... and the neck seemed to just fit
Quality
A Gibson is a Gibson.. that holds true in this guitar
The Wow Factor
