I have the 2014 model I love the look don’t take it out much to gigs coz it’s to pretty don’t want to scratch it.. but the thing that’s worried seems like the neck is longer it’s not but feels like it’s 3 in longer But it’s a great looking axe...

"If it is anything like the original run, it's a great guitar."

While I don't have one of these new ones, I have one from the original run. Take this review with a grain of salt, as I don't own one of these new ones.
Sound
This guitar, soundwise, if it's like my original 2014/2015 SGS3, will be able to go from almost Tele-Twang to jazz and blues just by adjusting the knobs. The middle pickup allows you to get an almost strat-like quack, just by blending the knobs. All in all, soundwise, I don't think you could get a better guitar.
Features
While I love the look of the sideways vibrola, don't touch it. It's a nice looking piece of kit, but other than that, it isn't the most reliable. It stays in tune pretty acceptably, but, if you want it to be even more reliable, replace the springs on the inside with aluminum piping. That will essentially turn it into a trapeze tailpiece and improve the tuning.
Ease of Use
Now, looking at where they placed the knobs on this version, they are in the regular standard position, not the '61 Reissue position. Now, this wouldn't be an issue with the stop tail, but the sideways arm looks like it would be in the way of the middle pickup volume. That would be very annoying to me, as I used the middle pickup quite a lot on my 2015. And, it has a bigger heel which inhibits higher fret access with the trade-off of stability.
Quality
The guitar and all the parts are well made, but the sideways vibrola doesn't stay in tune reliably.
Value
Compared to the original, I would have the original. But, it should still be a great guitar and worth the price.
Manufacturer Support
It is pretty painless to deal with Gibson's warranty if you go through who you bought the guitar from. It might take a bit to get it back, but you will get it back eventually.
The Wow Factor
My 2015 is the pinnacle of my collection, and the gold hardware, three pickups, and the sideways vibrola screams class. But, I wish on these newer runs they would have put a 5 ply tenon cover on like the originals. That added so much to the look, IMHO, but, it still looks great without it.
