I have an Epiphone imitation of the Gibson J-453 I had a J45 when I first started 45+ years ago and they really are both very close. The strings that came with the Epiphone were, obviously, Gibson. The guitar was loud, rich and had a very long ring. But the strings were medium gauge.I tried Martin lights but the sound and quality of the guitar was half as good as with the Gibson strings. These are easy on the fingers (as I get older-that means a lot) and they sound good.

I'm just trying these strings out for the first time on my Gibson J45, I had been using D’addario for years ,but lately they start to corrode too quickly , the Gibson Coated 11/52 are a perfect fit For My playing style and the light gauge is easy on the fingers , they sound really good, nice and warm like a j45 should sound , these same strings came stock on my New Epiphone Frontier except the 12 gauge, but I liked them and ordered a few packs in 11 Gauge from zZounds and like I said they sound a feel awesome.

I totally agree with the review of 4/15/21. The medium gauge that came with the Epiphone J45 were good but too rough. These ultra light Gibsons are the same sound wise and more comfortable. I tried various Martins but they came close-but no cigar.I'll stick with these from zZounds. The delivery is fast and the price is almost half of Amazon.
