Great guitar from 2013 which has resurfaced, only 400 worldwide of which 121 have been discovered in the Gibson factory. Its a must have but make sure your shoulder and back are ready as it weighs between 10 and 12 lbs. Sounds great clean or with a little or a lot of dirt added. Great low action, shipped with lite gauge strings which depending on your style of play could be changed. Has a great finish not on of those satin finishes and a custom case with 6 latches. Destine to be a collectors piece. Don't wait when there gone there gone and I'm sure those who purchase will not let the go. This is a $5000.00 guitar with a $200.00 case for less than $2000.00 what a value. I am a Les Paul fan who has owned more guitars than even my wife cares to know about and this is in the top 2%!! Don't pass this up, own a part of history that will only go up in value. Wish I had $20,000.00 to invest right now, I would most certainly purchase many more.

This is a must have guitar for collectors and players alike. I was floored when I opened the case and saw this baby! The pictures do not do this guitar justice whatsoever. The neck is probably the nicest I have ever played and I have been playing for 41 years, It doesn't stop there, I can go on and on about this beauty but I'll just say the WHOLE package (Everything about the guitar, The case, The tone, And the feel of this guitar is absolutely incredible. Add the fact that there was only 400 made and you have a true collectors guitar. Buy one before they are gone or kick yourself later. This is easily a 5000.00 guitar that can be yours for 2k (While they last) Thanks Zzounds for a marvelous guitar at a unbelievable price! And of course the ALWAYS excellent customer service and FAST delivery!

I purchased this "Tribute To Les" because it looked interesting and something I could hang on to long term to pass down to the kids someday. It arrived and looks even better in person than the pics on the website show. Very beautiful and well done Les Paul. It's heavy and solid with no relief, which I love. To me this is a great value at just under $2k and with the quality of the build and materials used, this is more like something the Custom Shop would crank out for $5k+...it's just a very well made guitar. I've owned R8's and R9's and this is right up there with them, same quality. The P-90s sound amazing and the bridge is different, but functionally sound, no issues with it at all. For the price, you can't beat it. If you are sitting there reading this on the fence, don't wait and miss out, just get it...you will not be disappointed.

This guitar is very impressive. It looks great, plays great, and sounds great. I bought it for my grandson, who is almost one now. I will take care of it until he's done with high school. Hopefully, he will want to play it, but if he needs to sell it to pay for some schooling, that's up to him. So, in 2031 he will have a like new Les Paul!

I read a lot if reviews, some good, some bad. About 50/50, so I was taking a chance. I am a player for 50 years, with an extensive guitar collection dating back to my first Fender 1965 Fender Jaguar, which I still own. Still, I felt this guitar would not only play and sound killer, but would some day become a collector item. I took the plunge and couldn't be happier. Placed order on Tuesday, approved for the four payment plan on Wed, shipped wed night, arrived Friday. And that's 3000 miles between NY and LA. Guitar arrived setup and in pristine condition. Plays, looks and sounds excellent. The P90's sound good thru my Fender tube amp, but sound even better thru my Marshall and Hiwatt tube heads and Celestine V30s. This is a $5000 list guitar that I own for $2000, plus $10 to spread payments over 4 months. Beautiful brown hard shell case with white lining too. No tax, no shipping, no interest, no hassles, no problems. I love zZounds.

This is my third Paul, I have a studio and years ago I had a custom. This is by far the nicest of them all. The commemorative touches are very nicely done but more importantly the guitar plays like a Paul. The tone, sustain and action are exactly what one would expect from this brand. Very well done and I would recommend it to anyone who has ever been a Les Paul fan.

"Great guitar"

I got this guitar because I am a fan of Les. but I also wanted a guitar that was made to be like the original 52' Les Paul model to go with my original ES-295. I am thoroughly pleased with how this guitar was crafted. it looks feels and sounds like a vintage Gibson. The neck though it is a 50's profile is still comfortable enough to play any genre of music. and I did a sound comparison with my ES-295 and the pickups sound amazingly close in terms of tone and response. the only negative things I have encountered were that the is some cracking in the finish along the binding from sitting in the warehouse, and that the cavity covers don't quite fit snugly in they're slots. All in all though I am very pleased with the guitar and would defiantly suggest buying one as it will go up in value in a short amount of time being a limited run of 400.

The guitar arrived and I was completely shocked. It was nothing like I had expected It is visually stunning and dream to play. I bought it more as a collectible but I find myself picking it up and playing it every day. If you are Gibson fan it is a must have.

After looking at many other versions of the "52" Les Paul Tributes available I chose this Model and I am very, very Happy with it. Everything about the Guitar is Better than I imagined. The Guitar sounds and plays Great! The P-90 pickups are top quality and the C-shaped neck make it a pleasure to play! The quality of the finish is top-notch! I really like the laser image and printing on the head stock and was reassured that it will remain looking Great by Gibson covering it with a quality clear coat finish. This Guitar is Made to be Played and Enjoyed! Buy One!

" order ZZ3020520 Gibson Les Paul "Tribute to Les" Guitar "

My first guitar was a 1968 Gibson Firebird six string...my second guitar was a "1952 Gibson Gold top", two P-90 pick-ups, no serial numbers on the guitar, patient pending stamped on the bridge...I paid $150.00 bucks for it in 1972! I was a young kid at the time and totally unaware of what I was gigging with...the guitar had a sweet sustain tones like nothing I had heard before...the P-90s were killer!!! I bonded with this ax...I continued to gig with this beauty...Unfortunately however, I had to tune it up after every song we played... because the bridge just rested on the face of guitar...it would move side to side while I was playing and knock the guitar out of tune... no matter how gentle I would be with it... It's pretty hard to play gently when Nugent came up on the song list...LOL, I didn't mind re-tuning this beauty because, the tones and sustain produced was remarkable... I couldn't afford to buy another guitar so I replaced the bridge with a 1953 Gibson anchor bridge. Yes, holes were drilled in the face of the guitar to set the anchor. Like I said I was just a kid...when the guitar was broken down I scribed my name on the back of the P90s...the new bridge worked just fine. I sold the guitar to my friend for five hundred bucks...And, I remained ignorant concerning the guitar until the late seventies. OH NO, a twenty thousand dollar 52 Gold top had slipped through my hands!!! The only part I still own is the original Trapezoid tail piece and lifters... With all that said it brings me to the Tribute Guitar, if this guitar is anything like the one I owned back in the seventies then the Tribute would be something very special and quite a rare collectable in the future... I bought the guitar for my nephew because he now owns an original Trapezoid bridge, coupled with my first hand experience with the original guitar he would give it a good home... The guitar arrived on schedule...we had the sixty watt tube Marshall plugged in and on stand-by...when we opened the antique brown case the guitar looked better then the pictures...the clear coat over the Gold is beautiful. Visually, it was a wonderful flash back for me...lol, However, there is a visible difference in the Tribute vs. the 52... The 52 has clear coat over the mahogany back and neck... The Tribute...the back and neck is painted gold... Personally, I prefer the clear coat mahogany. By now the amp is warmed up, my nephew ( Jason ) is looking forward to plugging this baby in. And me too, I remember the feel and the sound of this guitar as well... Jason took the amp off stand-by and played real nice cord work as he switched through the pick-ups and rattled off some cool scales...it didn't take him long to get a feel for his new Gibson. I could see the excitement beaming. He loves this guitar!!! He handed the guitar to me...what a beauty...She's got some weight to her but nothing to fear...Because of my "Systemic Scleroderma" it makes it very difficult for me to play... I am in deep remembrance with this Tribute to Les over my shoulder, my memory is beginning to burst...I ran my hand slowly up and down the neck, wow what a feel!!.( because of my disease I have to do things differently) I moved my fingers around the fret board the best I could...the action is slick!! Now came the fun part and the big test...I've been there and I've done it on the original... the question in my mind is... will this guitar have what it takes? I turned the volume off on the guitar... I switched the sixty watt tube Marshall w/ two twelves' into overdrive...and turned the volume up to Eleven, because that what we did in the early seventies...Jason's eyes doubled in size...lol... and he was smiling from ear to ear and I hadn't did anything but smile back at him...Then it was ON !!! Some good ole rock and roll...pure pain...played right through it...the guitar is outstanding and then some... the extra weight of the mahogany along with the P90s scream sustain...the P90s sound so good that I think I might find my name scribed behind them! I took the amp out of overdrive and enjoyed rich, clean and deep tones...this is a life time guitar...it is built well...built to last...you are getting a lot of guitar for the money... that's all I have, I hope this helps...

Musical Background:

Been playing music about fifty six years...mostly string instruments..don't play much anymore because of "Systemic Scleroderma"

"Beautiful Collectible Les Paul"

This is not your everyday guitar. It is really a collectible guitar that i believe will go up in value. The P-90's sound great, neck is smooth, and overall, it's a great playing and sounding guitar. However, it's very heavy for gigging, I'll probably stay with my PRS McCarty. However, this Les Paul is a very cool tribute to "the man" with very ornate craftsmanship and a beautiful gold top. If you've got the cash for a very cool unique collectible guitar, you'll be wow'd by this one.
