You're either going to love it or hate it. Me personally I truly love it. I've owned & do own several Les Pauls and this Modern is just awesome. The Burstbuckers are a perfect pickup choice & no more richlite for the fretboard! It's back to ebony with real mother of pearl inlays.It'd be great if they offered more color options. I chose the graphite colorGreat guitar needs a setup but don't they all?

Hi, I purchased the Sparkling Burgundy/Maroon Les Paul, and it's so beautiful and plays so well till it's hard to stop staring at it or to put it down. It's absolutely amazing and flawless in every way. I bought the last Burgundy one and I'm told that that's it until May 1st, 2023 when they get more of them. And more than likely, due to Gibson's boundless greed they'll probably cost more than this last batch did. I feel so sorry for those of you who missed the boat on this one.But even if the new batch does cost a few bucks more, believe me, they'll still be worth dishing out the Sheckles for. When you see it and play it in person you're not gonna want anyone else to touch it. I feel like a king and you will too when you finally own this awesome guitar!

Well... I bought all three colors; Last year I ordered a '57 Custom Shop "candle apple red" RI: - Same color as "sparkling burgundy" but after 13 months of waiting I canceled the order and bought "these". They are FANTASTIC guitars...if you don't know how the "color" is made - they take brass shavings (like used in Gold-top) and tint the lacquer. This gives it a sparkly depth without being over the top "sparkly" coloring. These really play well and sound outstanding. I have every year of "Re Issue" Les Paul's and these stand up to all of them - without hesitation!I'm glad there are the only 3 colors, as I would have to re-mortgage the house!!Hope this helps in your decision & investment!!
