Purchased one of the "open box" Gothics here and saved a couple bucks. The guitar arrived looking brand new...zZounds is great. The frets are very well done and the guitar looks and feels top notch. The not so great things were that the neck pickup was cutting out...likely just the 3 way switch...the nut seems to be cut really low...so the strings are barely missing/ or hitting that first fret when fretting down the neck....and the pickups are actually Dirty Finger PLUS pickups...they are not "Dirty Fingers" as described. The sound was a bit bright and the pickups kept feeding back with higher gain settings...really don't like these DF Plus pickups...I wanted the Dirty Fingers : ( Overall the sound lacked depth and acoustically the guitar was not very pleasant. No doubt each one of these guitars will be different and I would not hesitate to purchase another one...would be better to check it out in person though. zZounds fixed me up, so we're good. Will be back!

Bought this a week ago and already I'm ready to Pete Townsend this to pieces. I was hoping for a better guitar to replace my Sg ..(which I smashed for having scratchy pots on stage). This is an obnoxious creature. My expectations should've been so high I guess. Imagine playing something like this blindly on stage and when you start play all you hear is a loud BLAH!!!!!!! clunker Gothic crap.

Musical Background:

Gospel, church, barbeques...3 years strumming

Musical Style:

I try to play the " happy birthday song" at kids birthdays, "smoke on the water", and anything by Tiny Tim.
