Gibson 2016 HP Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar (with Case)
Hot-rod your tone with a High Performance Les Paul! The AAAA flame maple top perfectly complements the smooth PAF tone of the dual Burstbucker Pro pickups.

"The near perfect guitar"

Near, because it does everything, and everything well. If it could morph ascetically into a Tele shape or Strat that would be a bonus, however not necessary. Beautiful Les Paul! Fit, finish, playability, functionality are top notch. I own a couple Teles and Strats and without a doubt playing a 24.75 scale piece of art such as the Les Paul Standard HP is without effort. Sorry to "gush" so much, it's really the perfect instrument and lives up to it's historical predecessors. Time to stop typing and - PLAY!

"The ideal Gibson Standard with worthy features"

Disclosure: I'm a fan of Gibson Les Paul guitars, but not to the point that I'm not objective.
My Gold Top (Blemish) arrived with all the contents intact. After an overall review I noted that the Gold finish was subtly mottled in angled light and a minuscule ding on the heal of the neck. All cosmetic and worth the price reduction for me.
The Burstbucker Pro Pickups deliver a perfect balance of punchy lows/mids and resonate highs.. I prefer these over Classic 57's which tend to be brighter. The GForce tuner is pretty straight forward keeping standard tuning in line. Restringing your guitar and creating new alternate tunings will require a YouTube search to aid your efforts. The dip switches that control the Single Coil / Split Coil are accessed inside the Tone/Volume cavity and are easy to set up.
The guitar comes with 9's on the E,B,G strings and 10's on the D,A,E strings. I imagine this is allow greater bending, but I changed them to all 10's.
The Aluminum Case is huge and should protect your guitar from the Zombie Apocalypse, without issue,
Opinion
I always purchase Demos/Blemished/Factory Resealed because Gibson's can be rather expensive. One of the biggest issues I've come across high action and fret buzz. For the price Gibson charges, this should never be an issue. They say they factory Plek their guitars but its clear their QA adjusts string heights to compensate for buzz, Premium price guitars should never have this issue. I did need to adjust the string height. Luckily, no resulting buzz even after changing out the strings.
Pros:
Weight relieved 5lbs. 8.3oz vs. 8 to 10 pounds on older models
Titanium Nut
Titanium Saddles
Burstbucker Pro pickups
Dip Switch adjustments for Single Coil/ Split control
Cons
The Hi Gloss Lacquer is very soft. Don't leave your guitar tuner clipped to the headstock - it will leave an impression
Gibson guitars can be hit or miss
Price to workmanship/playability
Neutral
GForce Tuner - You either like it or hate it
