Gibson ES-335 Electric Guitar (with Case)

A favorite of top artists since its release in 1958, the ES-335 never disappoints. A set of T-Type humbuckers enhances this model's distinct sweet tone.

I've been dreaming of owning a black 335 since the day I saw Roy Orbison's Black & White Night. I own (or have owned) most of Gibson's electric models, but I never thought I'd be in a position to spend the dough on a 335. I'm so glad I pulled the trigger -- I've finally found "my" guitar and it's worth every penny. Perfect construction, finish, feel, and sound. These Calibrated T-Type pickups are fantastic too -- Clear and articulate, never boomy or ear-piercing. Takes dirt with aplomb!

I've always wanted a Gibson ES 335 and all over the internet, youtube, site reviews I've seen bad comments about gibsons in general. I never really cared for the bad comments and tried to read the positive ones. Until i got one, and maybe I am one of the unlucky gibson buyers to get a bad one but at 3,000 dollars why should it be bad? The Gibson custumer service is even worst than the quality of my guitar. The paint job was unfinished correctly, the center block wood was uneven and it had a nasty scratch on rim. To top it off the case was the wrong case and the guitar fits very tight in it. Trust me the reviews are real!! zZounds on the other hand has been very helpful and understanding exchange or return options.

"Gibson ES-335, Custom shop or Not?"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I was very fortunate to have gotten this particular Memphis made ES- 335 in Antique Natural... the AAA flamed top, also flamed out, sides,& Back, look amazing! I've owned 3 Gibson ES-335s, never seen anything of this high quality.. Came with the custom shop case, the COA reads,Gibson Custom Shop,in Gold letter, claims was hand built by Gibson Custom. Just turned 13 years old, wondering if all Memphis made 335s came with the same Gibson custom shop booklet...?
Sound
The Sustain and tone are amazing. The Memphis ES-335 is My#1, it presents the WOW factor! Everybody says WOW,NICE 335 ! ANTIQUE NATURAL WITH AAA FLAME TOP FRONT SIDES AND BACK.THIS IS THE FINEST 335 I'VE SEEN,IVE OWED 3,,,335s , they are the best of both worlds. From feedback to sustain, similar to a Les Paul rock sound,to blues it does it all . That's why Guitar player magazine rated the Gibson es 335 in the top four guitar that every guitar player should own.
Features
There is anything that I don't like about the ES-335. First time I played one was a 1968 they cost the whopping $699!
Ease of Use
I think a beginner would even sound good on this guitar but this kind of guitar is something that you have to be a mature guitar player to truly appreciate it.
Quality
It's a Gibson,,,so yes,, it's made well. I have a very good years fortunately. I own a 19 89 a 1990 and also a 2012 es335.
Value
It's a GIBSON'. Guitar of the STARS ✨!
