Before I review the guitar, let me say hats off to Zzounds. The easy payment plan made this guitar a reality for me. You have a customer for life. The guitar arrived early today. After carefully unboxing the boys to get to the Box that had the guitar in it, I found that beautiful Gibson hard shell case and when I opened it, my jaw dropped. This guitar is truly a thing of beauty. I plugged it in and tuned it up and couldn't help but drop right into some old style Cream. Plugged into my Fender Blue's Jr amp, the guitar just flat out rocked. The tonal qualities are unreal. Nothing like my Les Paul or Strat, the pickups are strong and really break up nicely. Cleaned up they sound fat and delicious. The sustain is out of this word. It just goes on and on. I was concerned about the size of the neck but had no trouble adjusting to what I would call a wide profile. The finish on the guitar is perfect. After playing so long that I couldn't touch another string, I decided to check the setup. The intonation is dead on and the setup is perfect. After 35 years of playing, I can truly say I have never played a guitar like this. It is a nasty beast or clean, eloquent and beautiful. I would strongly recommend this guitar to anyone.
