I bought this guitar when I heard it on You Tube being demonstrated and compared to the ES175. I wanted the 175 but at the moment did not want to lay out the 3000 plus dollars for it. This guitar is very close in sound and the quality is super. Played great out of the box no adjustment needed. Great sound through my Super Reverb and very very comfortable to play. Get one and you'll see!

"Don't be fooled by the price"

I will start off by saying that I am by no means a virtuoso guitar player, just a very enthusiastic amateur. When I opened the box I was first of all impressed with the quality of the case. Being a LP and SG owner I am used to the regular black hard shell case and the brown one supplied here makes a nice change and differentiator. As for the guitar itself, the action was spot on straight out of the box. Much kudos to Gibson and their skilled staff in Memphis. Just a slight corrective tuning and I was in guitar heaven. The price when compared to other Gibson hollow bodies is unbelievable and you get the same high standards to be expected. For roughly the same price as an Epi Casino Elitist you get so much more when buying the ebony. The P94's are to savor, something of a blast from the past when played clean through my Peavey Delta Blues. I have found what is for me the perfect combination and every day I go without playing seems wasted. If you are in a position to do so you should get your hands on an ES-195. It won't disappoint. I rated ease of use 4 stars as the Bigsby can make replacing strings a little too tedious. I've not had to use Gibson support ever so would give them the benefit of the doubt assuming the quality of service is maintained to the same level as the quality of the instrument. In summary - wow!
