Was sceptical at first when I ordered the sunburst model to add a little variety to my les Paul & SG collection. Was pleasantly surprised at the way it plays and balances. The pick ups sound good and are versatile. I was so impressed that at the end of the year when the price dropped drasticly I picked up a second in white. Only complaint is that stupid PCB that Gibson use now. Replaced pots and caps with individual after market PIO and 500k.

Been looking to fill a tone in my head , have Gibson's LP's and SG's. saw this had 496r/496t pups and thought is this the special combo of pickup and mahogany body that would get it !! Well it is, covers metal, jazz, rock and blues. Ride the vol on about 6 for rhythm work and then dime it for leads. If you learn to work ceramic pups, it is like having a lead boost, I play in to Marshall JTM45, DSL40CR and my cherished Marshall Artist 3203 head with 1965b 4x10 and 1966b 2x12 cabs..it is unreal with the Firebird,,the finish is flawless. Set up the relief by 1/4 turn for 3 days and got my action just right..if you are a Gibson player and want a super fast great sounding guitar between the SG & Lp this is it !!

Just plain awsome. This guitar is beautiful i got the vintage white and it looks beautiful. All in all to me its the best guitar ive owned. Couldnt be happier the finish great the knobs are smooth. The action is a little higher than i like but no big deal gotta put my strings on it and a setup and itll be right were i want it. I am absolutley in love with this thing.

"VINTAGE WHITE FIREBIRD STUDIO "

Bought this because of the new Sg's going up in price. Decided to acquire this when it was under 1000 for the 4-payment plan option. Now that I own it, I'd say the value is unbeatable. Great looking guitar obviously, easy playability, great tone. I notice the neck is pretty fragile to pressure, consequently guitar bends out of tune. Still love it.
